#1 Sign a Striker

I've been banging this drum for an eternity. Sure a good winger would be a nice, but for me the priority is a striker.

As good as Saha can be, he can't be relied on to be available.

As good as Yakubu can be, he can be very hit and miss and go through his spells.

I'm not convinced with Vaughan. I can't see him ever being a regular starter at Everton and even if he had the ability, fitness is another matter.

Does anyone agree?

If you had asked me last year I would have said no. But this season, definitely.

Yakubu clearly has lost his brains when he got injured (**** off coming short for corners - your a striker you meff).

Saha, is not all that.
Cahill is good for 10 minutes per game.
Anichebe is clearly not even seen as a striker by the boss, and Vaughan is someone he doesn't like too.

We definitely need a striker.

I want us to sign a backup for Arteta. Our striker will find their job a hell lot easier if we have another creative midfielder as good as Arteta.

Definitely. We need an out and out goalscorer. If rumours are true and he can recreate his form in the prem then maybe Beckford will do, but somehow i doubt it

I've thought for a while that we badly need a striker.
Personally i think we need a pacey striker, someone capable of going at players. I haven't seen enough of Beckford or this Portuguese lid to say if they are that or not.

The thing about out and out finishers is that they tend to do just that - score and not much else. I could never in a million years see Moyes gambling on someone like Huntelaar or another player of his ilk. Moyes wants grafters all over the pitch.

Eyes mate.

I dont think we lack quality in the striking dept, nor do i doubt thier ability to score every other game - if we lack a cutting edge its the system we play.

Really. So Yakubu is ripping up trees? Or should we keep waiting for him to regain his fitness?

Saha is not reliable enough for a consistent striker.

And that's all we have.

I think if your going into the market you wont find better players then the Yak or Saha. The Yak on average meets double figures every season and Saha is a touch of quality - somehting from nothing.

If your going to play one up front then your supporting midfeilders need to be hitting double figures - this hasnt happened.

Saying that our strikers are brutal playing the system we do - is like saying my anchor wont float in the pool!

Hypotethicly if Saha and Yak played every game this season togehter im not sure i would back against them both hitting double figures - that makes me think its not the quality.

Donovan, who if (I'd say its 50/50) he comes it won't be until January.

Any other buys will depend on who bids, I mean taps up, our players (Rodwell, Fellani). I could easily see a team like City raiding us just to PO Moyes off.

I think it'll be one of those sell to buy years. We have quality depth, we just need to stay healthy.

Little bit difficult to justify your opinion at the moment mate.

I loved the Yak when he was scoring goals, when he's not whats the point in him?
