No club ever came in for Hibbert his entire career because he was pathetic. Says it all. He should be giving Kenwright blowies for the rest of his life for being such a luvvy and for taking care of little Tony the super Evertonian. Hibbert probably has 15m in the bank and for what? Abysmal footballer who only managed to stay at Everton because, for the large part of his career, we were also pathetic and broke so couldn't afford to replace him, oh and also had an ambitionless chairman in Bill who was just happy to keep us in the division.

Well that's just not true is it?

Hibbert was a mainstay in teams that finished in the top 6 year in, year out.

I never rated him much, but I don't know what people get out of pretending he couldn't kick a ball.

It is drivel, so stop buying the paper that prints it. It's not like it's news coverage is better...
But there is no agenda against Everton from that paper and it's overly paranoid to suggest there is

''stop buying the paper' ....I'm not quite ready for a carer yet, child, I can make my own decisions, thanks very much. It appears that for some reason the Mail spend less time on Everton than they do on other clubs, it may not be an agenda but at the least its a lack of interest in the 'journalistic' side. As I say...the word search is good;)

The Kopite GRASS will go down in history in the same light as the likes of Barmby Xavier and Clattenberg
Bit harsh that.

Thought we had Tom Cleverley to blame for everything now?

Bit strong and unfair that.

Tony Hibbert was half decent as a younger player.

Hibbert was a great defender, but worse at crossing the ball than a goat.
th

Billy was pretty poor at crossing I must admit

I think it's obvious Osman is a bit of a tool. I mean, everyone likes a joker, and you can't knock him for having a laugh, but he doesn't half make me cringe.

But lets be fair here, Osman was a cracking little player for us, he just stayed WAY beyond his sell by date. I used to be hit and miss with Osman, but had it not been for the fact he was lightweight, and slow, he'd have been an outstanding player. His control of the ball and coolness in the centre was really quite good.

I think, much like Howard (and hopefully not Jagielka!), he stayed beyond his sell by date, and it grated too many people. But you can't knock the fact he scored some very important goals, and wasn't really that bad.... however, somethings shall never be forgotten.

Now stay off my TV.

Don't think his autobiography helped some fans' perceptions of him.

Re. Tom Cahill and Moyes' last game vs West Ham:
But what I found strange was what happened at the end. Phil Neville, a great servant and club captain, was retiring so he came on the pitch through a guard of honour. Brilliant and quite right too.

Next, our manager who has been there for 11 years. That should have been it but who comes on the pitch last? Tim Cahill!

He’d come to watch the game and should have been out first, but he was last as though he was the big draw for the day. I just couldn’t believe it. It was incredible.

I know Tim hadn’t actually asked for it to be done that way but if it was me I wouldn’t have had the front to impose on such a special occasion.

Tim should have declined the offer in my opinion. He’d been unbelievable for Everton, one of the best signings ever, but that was Nev and Moyesy’s moment and not his.

Re. Moyes' derisory Fellaini/Baines bids and comments:
‘It’s disappointing how sour it has since turned between the fans and Moyes after he bought Fellaini and tried to get Leighton Baines. He should be welcomed back to Goodison whenever he wants to come but it’s not the case at the moment and that’s really upsetting. I’m disappointed in it all.

‘Far too much was made of what happened with Fellaini and Baines. Moyes was doing what we had employed him to do for all those years – strengthen his squad in whatever way he saw fit.

‘It was no surprise that Davie Moyes tried to sign players from Everton. I think, as fans, we should find it easy to forgive him.

Re. someone texting Moyes abuse off his phone:
‘I’ve never asked who did it and I’ve never wanted to know because if I knew and he asked, I’d have to tell him’.

He was a real life footballer version of Benjamin Button, seemed to regress more and more into the physical state of a child as his career went on.
