Viera damn it!

Still don't quite understand why you say Heit lacks positional discipline.
Getting involve is a must for DM. It's an important characteristic you'll find in Keane, Viera, Pirlo, Rossi, Essien and Alonso. DM is often use as first point of building attacking moves in modern football even though he's playing deepest in midfield. I have no complain if he stays deep and get involve there, which is what he's doing.

Very much so and the above for me arent flaws in Jonnys games hes well capable of building the foundation to our play. He was caught out of position on the break a few times on Sunday and a better team will punish us - thats my point really - not a criticism - rather an area of his game in that postion he needs to develop. If three centre midfeilders are forward one has to drop deep and it makes sense its the Heit. He also needs to develop in terms of closeing down space rather then men - although that is vital also, decsion making is this regard is vital to, sometimes there is no need to close down a man if you close down the danger space and make the opposition player hesitate as what to do, he needs to develop that part of his game in that role as well. His instinct is to go to the man which to be fair is what centre halfs are told to do.

He does have a tendency to charge after opposition players which can leave gaps in the middle of the park. Sometimes you have got to hold your position and mark space as Neiler says. I wouldn't say it's much of a problem though, if he was doing it all the time like Thomas Gravesen then you'd have to ask questions but it's only an occasional thing.

I'd also like to see him demand the ball a bit more, he has technique and vision in adundance. But he only really shows it when the game is stretched or we are on top. We control possession far more with Arteta in the team so hopefully we can get Johnny facing the play as much as possible. If he's given a chance he'll pick out the right pass.

How do you rate Heitinga now, on a scale of fast food?

I want to see your working out too please.

I'd say he rates up there with a pizza hut meat feast. I initially thought whopper, and then minused a donar meat with chips, divide that sum by a kfc family bucket, then added a chicken royale and came out with pizza hut meat feast
with garlic and herb dip of course

Good foodstuffs there. Nice work.

Well when i see a Goodison hot-dog I instantly think Yakubu, and by the way the woman behind me opens her throat up to swallow one, she obviously thinks it too.

*no working out required.

I discovered the hotdogs opposite the Park End last time I went, really decent they were too.
