Ta for that Connor, interesting to see that he rates McCarthy.
Big club though. RK didn't respect it and got his arse kicked.Valencia are and always have been a basket case, Barcelona inferiority complex
Baines.
I could see no rhyme or reason for it. What on earth can be gained from it? Nothing. He's playing to the gallery and some people are impressed by such unhelpful nonsense.
He's a manager who likes to strike out at others when he's under the cosh. We saw that after he ended our season last Saturday and he lashed out again.
I wouldn't say he can't defend. He's definitely suffered in his position from losing that bit of pace as he ages and he'll always be coming up against quicker players from now on but I still think he is an alright defender. He's a defender who can't defend. And now he's an attacking defender who can't attack. He's pretty much done.
Let me ask you this then. He's a defender who can't defend. And now he's an attacking defender who can't attack. He's pretty much done.
McCarthy will win him over and maybe keep us squad place because he'll run around doing pressing all day. The problem is when he's on the ball we do nothing with it and he slows down the game. He's done enough to stay until the summer for Koeman. Which is promising for Besic if he ever stays fit because he will press even harder than McCarthy and he's better on the ball. The way I read it is that he's impressed lately but in the summer he'd be willing to sell him. Guess it's dependent on his fitness record.
like it or not it's about time someone came in put a bomb under us, enough of being told we are a "nice" club and people in senior positions like Kenwright and Martinez waxing lyrical about average players and pie in the sky pipedreams, i want us to be ruthless and horrible in order to win and if that means telling players that its time to go, good, Koeman is clearly ruthless as is Moshiri, love the work we do in the community and i have no doubt that will continue, however the message is clear to everyone connected with EFC, shape up or you are done, and I am loving it. If you don't like it @davek the answer is easyBig club though. RK didn't respect it and got his arse kicked.
Lesson to be learned there I reckon....
No koeman doesn't get everton.
He doesn't get the jobs for the boys mentality in the team.
He doesn't get the fact success isn't really important these days
He doesn't get signing budget players and hoping for the best is the way to go.
He doesn't get the idea managers can do whatever they want and accept whatever is dumped on them.
And he doesn't get the idea that the board can do whatever they want and he can just accept it.
So no, koeman doesn't get this club. How about he wants to change it? Get the board pulling their fingers out in the market, get the players playing for their shirt and not just turn up for their wages/place in the team. How about he wants to change the frame of mind of the players, where he won't accept the same performances every week and demand more from them? And if you don't you are out?
