Usmanov

And as proven, he doesnt need to leave Arsenal to "invest" in Everton.

Very true, I think both him and Mosh made a concious decision jointly last year to increase their exposure in the premier league market which is growing hugely annually. They had jointly 300 mill of exposure in Arsenal. Now they jointly/separately have 300 mill exposure in Arsenal and 87 mill exposure in Everton which will eventually rise. As the PL market is growing hugely annually, they have two horses backed. The value increase in Everton if the ground comes off and we progress will be huge. If funds or investment can be sent Evertons way to make the pathway easier commercially all well and good.

But given the above I think it would be a massively poor decision for Usmanov to leave Arsenal officially. But I do believe Mosh, Usamaniv and Sochi are working collectively here as some kind of unofficial consortium and having a portfolio of exposure in clubs.

This also has the added bonus for Usmanov of rattling the cage at Arsenal as things have been stagnant there for a while, as their model is based on organic revenue growth, CL qualification and staying prudent. Anything that jeopardises that I.e. Everton becoming more finanancially and footballing competitive is likely to piss Kronke at Arsenal of no end.

So my own opinion is that we won't see Usmanov at Everton in any offical capacity.

Am I the only one thinking that this could've been the plan from Usmanov all along to help him onto Arsenal's board?

For a relatively small outlay, he's now:

1: Helped out a close friend and business partner and

2:Now got the Arsenal fans to take notice of him. Plenty of Gooners now asking questions why he can't have any influence on Arsenal.

He has 300m in shares in Arsenal, and if he were to come here (which I'd love him to do) he'd have to shift all of them. Who's going to spend 300m on shares that essentially give you sweet f.a. You'll have no influence on the club and if Stan Kroenke were to buy them, it would be make no difference to his position.

From Usmanov's position now there are more questions being asked by Gooners, so this controversy can only be good for him either way.

It's a good point to make.

This move will either:

A) Kick start the Arsenal lot, more than there are now, into getting Usmanov into power and getting shut of Kroenke
B) Get Kroenke to kick off on Usmanov and potentially Alisher leaving

A few have been under the impression that Usmanov would allow Moshiri to lay the foundations at Goodison and join him in the future. It's all a bit mad because whenever it's been brought up, the Usmanov "I won't sell Arsenal shares" quote gets rolled out and then a lot don't know what to think.

For me, if Usmanov is continued to be shut out of Arsenal and can find a buyer of his shares that can make a deal to get shut of Kroenke, he'll do it and join Moshiri at the Blues.

And I have my view.

My view is that for the last 15 years we have had an Everton fan in charge, who did the best he could, but sadly allowed us to fall behind.

Now we have a chance to compete, so do I care where Usmanov got his money from?
I sort of agree with you goat but what's your thoughts on kenwright having done his utmost so we didn't fall further behind than we have. I think he deserves credit for his dedication.

This has been an amazing two hours of catch up since I saw the news this morning.

Usmanov interested in investing in us since November?! That's big if true.

Its no different from the days of a local millionaire, who made his cash from the mills, the docks, tobacco, whatever, buying up the local club.

Just more 000's, and a global game now.
I think it's vastly different. The local industrialist might have exploited others to get their wealth, but I'm pretty certain they didnt use the means to get business that someone like this creature used.

And that makes it right?

It was called sarcasm mate

Usmanov is actually very popular in Russia btw, unlike most Oligarchs he actually has done a lot of very good work which has had real benefits to the people, and a huge amount of his fortune he has earned through amazingly insightful investments in none Russian companies before the share prices exploded.

But you have red a critical article about him in some newspaper so will bow down to your judgement, he's the devil incarnate mate, oh for a true blue owner with a shiny pot of gold at the end of that Raindow to buy us

the bottom line here has to be that we cannot be certain that Usmanov is leaving arsenal and becoming part owner of efc.
BUT FF deal in it self is extremery valuable to us and it clearly ties Moshiri and Usmanov together even if he decides to stay at gunners.

Kroenke will probs try to smoke U out of arsenal or freeze him even more. Or he must give Usmanov place in the board. Extremely interesting times.

We should hope for one of those nice Billionaire Russians that never has had a doubt cast upon their ethics mate i agree

Or one of those nice friendly Arabs gents - maybe the lads building the world cup stadia are looking to invest

Or even better i have heard the nice chinese guys are really throwing themselves into sport

Failing that we could get bought out and invested in by a nice US Billionaire - who i am sure is ethically pure as snow

Should have carried on being run from the shadows by Mr Green the pension thief.

(Alleged pension thief)

Certainly some shady characters, although this is nothing new: have it on good authority that Peter Johnson used to personally fart in each Park Christmas hamper before it was air sealed and gift wrapped.

I'm sorry David, but if Usmanov started posting on here I'd like all his posts NEA

Or how about aim to be fan owned or bought by someone is ethical? Or is that stupid because we have to win at any cost?
