Usmanov

It's fairly unedifying seeing wpeople frothing at the mouth with excitement that the club they support and place some amount of their character into is about to be taken over by a man who has suppressed critical articles about him and his friend, has alleged connections to the Russian Mafia, was imprisoned for fraud...

We should hope for one of those nice Billionaire Russians that never has had a doubt cast upon their ethics mate i agree

Or one of those nice friendly Arabs gents - maybe the lads building the world cup stadia are looking to invest

Or even better i have heard the nice chinese guys are really throwing themselves into sport

Failing that we could get bought out and invested in by a nice US Billionaire - who i am sure is ethically pure as snow

I'm not getting into that stuff. It's not appropriate. I have my view and I stated it.

And I have my view.

My view is that for the last 15 years we have had an Everton fan in charge, who did the best he could, but sadly allowed us to fall behind.

Now we have a chance to compete, so do I care where Usmanov got his money from?

We should have been bought out by a group of Evertonian's. That was a possibility last time before Moshiri stepped in.

I think we missed our perfect solution there. Now we are at the mercy of non-blues and we have to hope they have the club's interest at heart.
We have been owned by an Evertonian for the past 20 years or so. Are you saying that Kenwright is the perfect solution?

Should have carried on being run from the shadows by Mr Green the pension thief.

(Alleged pension thief)

And that makes it right?

Am I the only one thinking that this could've been the plan from Usmanov all along to help him onto Arsenal's board?

For a relatively small outlay, he's now:

1: Helped out a close friend and business partner and

2:Now got the Arsenal fans to take notice of him. Plenty of Gooners now asking questions why he can't have any influence on Arsenal.

He has 300m in shares in Arsenal, and if he were to come here (which I'd love him to do) he'd have to shift all of them. Who's going to spend 300m on shares that essentially give you sweet f.a. You'll have no influence on the club and if Stan Kroenke were to buy them, it would be make no difference to his position.

From Usmanov's position now there are more questions being asked by Gooners, so this controversy can only be good for him either way.

Also can't help thinking that perhaps Moshiri would like to get out from under Usmanov's shadow and that this is his project. If Usmanov came in he surely would want equal if not more control than Farhad? (I have no idea if this would be true, just guessing really)

A lot of Arsenal fans have been asking the 2nd question for a long while mate
