Current Chang deal is £16m over 3 years, or £5.3m per season.

New deal appears to be £75m over 5 years for the shirt front & Finch Farm. Still working on the new sleeve sponsor.

£75m over 5 years is £15m. So the '300% increase' is actually a deal worth 300% the old deal, not quite the same. However still a considerable jump in revenue.

I think the 300% was factoring in the sleeve sponsor which they must be aiming for around a £5mill a year deal.

Sorry if my words were misleading, my intent was 5.3 a season. It's a great improvement of course if it was everyone thinks it is. However my point was on the lack of clarity, people are presuming it's a replacement on the Chang deal what was actually said was that it's a sleeve and trying ground spnsorship deal. Fair play if that it true as this might be and suspect is a new sponsorship arrangement and something I know PL clubs have been talking about collectively. However the lack of clarity is my point, you say it's the Chang deal, I say it's training and sleeve - no one knows. Equally it's not such a good deal if say its 300% increase over say 7 years, I'm not saying it is but see what I mean about clarity.

I'm not slating Moshiri here I want all the good things to be true, I just think tonight was very very poor from a communication point of view. All anyone can say otherwise, is the believe or trust him. Basically your being asked for blind faith. He had an opportunity to mitigate, cultivate and reassure fans tonight around that, he didn't and the whole thig was very very poorly managed.

I don't know what's been reported and, to be fair, it wasn't totally clear what the splits were but, from memory, a figure a 75 million was up on screen for a five year period and that included a new shirt sponsorship deal plus Finch Farm.

I'm not totally sure but I think the sleeve sponsorship will be on top of the 75 million ?

I am sure they are doing everything they can to make the dock location work but I get the feeling the financing may be an insurmountable obstacle after tonight. It wouldn't be as bad if the alternative, SC, wasn't such a disastrous option.
A stadium in the backwaters, out of sight and sound of the lucrative city centre will not make us contenders again.

Well the Mayor of Liverpool clearly, and publicly, just stated that the Waterfront stadium is the first choice mate
Yes, and so did Elstone and Kenwright.
Elstone in particular is very measured in what he says, but when he was asked a question about lessons learnt about failed stadium moves he said that we had to get consensus on the right location this time. This clearly means that the docks are the preferred location.

Again, put that into context with our competitors - or the Clubs we want to be competitive with.

Everton will have just sold the shirt naming rights AND training ground sponsorship for £15m a year.

United in 2013 sold sponsorship of Carrington to Aon for £20m a season in 2013.

And yet Elstone remains in a job.

it wasn't as far as everything i've read pal

300% , not inc sleeve

No the 3 fold increase is the shirt sponsorship only. Here's the quote.

"The other thing is a three-fold increase in the value of our shirt sponsorship and we will release that new partner in due cause

It does appear to be over 5 years though so it might not even be a 100% increase
