I was there mate and came away with the feeling that there's a real will to make Bramley Moore work, but they were trying to manage expectations a little in case it doesn't happen.

There are obviously some issues, but I'd put it at 80%+ likely that we'll end up down in the docks.

If we don't, then it won't be because of a lack of effort.

That was mainly my point, the desire is defo there, but thats not always enough.

Just out of interest, what are the main issues (on the surface of it - obviously not the main details)?

Is it all down to land ownership, infrastructure etc?

Current deal of 5 million increasing by 300% would be an extra £15million per year. Decent increase!

Thats without the sleeve sponsorship deal so that could be a few mill more. The echo said the sponsorship deals are for 5 years - would have preferred 3 myself but its a good deal.

I wasn't there (I'm no shareholdeR) but from what I've read it just seemed that BMD is certainly everybody's first choice, but they were prepping us for the fact that (as @MoutsGoat and others have said) it will be an extremely difficult venture, so it's probably 50/50 as to whether it's going to happen. In the balance - basically, but everybody is pushing for it to happen.

That was my understanding. Not sure if @The Esk thinks/understands differently.

My understanding was that it was Elstone being vague and gap filling as they are likely not able to announce much right now.

Unknowns. Feasibility. Viability. All clap trap which would in my eyes have been looked at in detail already to a) employ Meis and b) get both peel and the council to publicly state docks stadium is preferred option.

Oh Everton, they build us up to knock us down.

I've accepted SC now, at least it's not far from my mums.

Well the Mayor of Liverpool clearly, and publicly, just stated that the Waterfront stadium is the first choice mate

Not sure I understand this quote entirely.....

"We expect to announce a 300% increase in aggregate shirt sponsorship next season, via partly a sleeve patch sponsor AND a sponsorship deal for Finch Farm."

Does that mean a replacement for Chang with a shirt front and sleeve logo or the patch in addition to a new sponsor to replace Chang?

Proper moderating that.
Well in michael

The current Chang deal was a ~16 million deal over three years, so roughly 5 million a year, whereas your words make it sound like it's 5 million over 3 years.

300% on 5 million / annum ain't to be sneezed at, that's an extra 10 million every year, and 300% in itself is pretty specific.

For sure, it's not in the same ballpark as the current top six, but it's a goodly sized step in the right direction.

If you think that's a waste of time then I reckon you're not living in the real world. Personally I'd say it's pretty much the best a club finishing nowhere significant in the last two seasons could expect.

Sorry if my words were misleading, my intent was 5.3 a season. It's a great improvement of course if it was everyone thinks it is. However my point was on the lack of clarity, people are presuming it's a replacement on the Chang deal, like youself. what was actually said was that it's a sleeve and traing ground spnsorship deal. Fair play if that is it true as this might be and suspect is a new sponsorship arrangement and something I know PL clubs have been talking about collectively. However the lack of clarity is my point, you say it's the Chang deal, I say it's training and sleeve - no one knows. Equally it's not such a good deal if say its 300% increase over say 7 years, I'm not saying it is but see what I mean about clarity. As for the broad commercial numbers they have been hugely boosted by the overseas tv deal, how does that factor in,

I'm not slating Moshiri here I want all the good things to be true, I just think tonight was very very poor from a communication point of view. All anyone can say otherwise, is the believe or trust him. Basically your being asked for blind faith. He had an opportunity to mitigate, cultivate and reassure fans tonight around that, he didn't and the whole thing was very very poorly managed.

Current Chang deal is £16m over 3 years, or £5.3m per season.

New deal appears to be £75m over 5 years for the shirt front & Finch Farm. Still working on the new sleeve sponsor.

£75m over 5 years is £15m. So the '300% increase' is actually a deal worth 300% the old deal, not quite the same. However still a considerable jump in revenue.

The echo have announced a £75 mill 5 year sponsorship for the shirts (Chang replacement) and finch farm sponsor = £15 mill a year. The sleeve spobsor hasnt been agreed yet - thats seperate.
