The manager said, it's too early to make a decision on his future. Reading between the lines, I'd say he doesn't rate him.

I think we can do better but had a good game yesterday.

I actually think his better as a sub option, his pace works well when the other team is tiring. But there is no harm in starting as a front 2 with Lukaku in the cup game to see how it goes, valencia is only going to play at his best if he's in his proper position.

Fair play to the lad for his work yesterday as he totally changed the game in our favour. He clearly doesn't have a future here beyond the end of the season but if he can continue to make a positive contribution until then all the better for both him and us.

Personally valencia is a great example of a good fan over a crap one.

A good fan doesn't loan about him and just praises him in the short term when he contributes positively. Doesn't mean they want him next season but right now he is a blue and they support him.

A crap fan gets on his back for the sake of it just because they don't rate him.

I'm saying the crap fans, i.e ones who jump on the lads back because they don't want the club to sign him so they criticise him and won't appreciate what he can do in the team now. Not aimed at anyone as i haven't trawled through the thread. Just saying in the perspective that not everyone praising valencia wants the club to sign him necessarily, just a decent fan can praise him without suddenly calling him 'the answer' so to speak.

Perhaps my words could have been re worded differently to what i really mean, not accusatory, just making the point that generally as fans we can praise him without wanting him long term.
