Probably more of an athlete than Naismith, but as you say looks like he could provide similar results. Let's see how he does

Agreed, doesn't change the lad's future here, or inevitable lack of long term, but he can do a job at times and it's good when he does.

Seemed to lift the whole team with his energy and commitment when he came on today. Certainly lifted the atmosphere inside Goodison which was like a library for most of the game!!

The fact such a limited footballer can make such a big difference to rom... just by playing close to him and running, should tell koeman that 4-4-2 is what we should be playing... or 5-3-2 ..

it provides space for him by moving the defenders around. Rom is good at drifting around trying to casually lose his markers, this is easier when another player is moving them around more overtly.

I agree .... rom isn't a target man never has or ever will be. People think becuase he's built like drogba and has pace that he can play like him... he needs balls to run onto. He needs someone to play off and provide space for him .

Can't see us paying £14 mill for him. Lookman or Calert-Lewis while still very young will do this role quite soon.
If we sell a few then maybe we would buy him to fill in until one of the young lads step up, we could then sell him on, still think £14 mill is way too much.
I would rather spend money on two centre halves and midfielder and get a solid team in place which would allow time for young forwards to develop.

I'd be up for selling half of our fans and getting some new noisy ones from somewhere like Seville, Athens or Buenos Aires

Made a big difference today. Hopefully he can kick on from this because we could do with some of our forward players hitting a bit of form.
