Maybe I need to have you guys refer back to my most recent post.

The guy could get a few matches, be complete [Poor language removed], and that's that.

But let's be clear here. I've seen enough of a few of our current midfielders for me to say let's give him a run and see what happens. IT CAN'T BE WORSE THAN WHAT I'VE SEEN SO FAR.

What part of that do you not understand?

the same point can be made for kissock though, or maybe for osman in the central role, or maybe silva in for jags/nevs.

it appears moyes gave him the maximum penalty of a month suspended, if we could find out what he had been doing in that month it would be an indication to me of where he is, if hes been sat on his ass doing nothing or just polishing his ferrari then thats a bad thing, but if hes been working on his fitness and watching his diet without the club scrutinising his every move then thats a good thing.

i want to see some committment from him, and for him to play every ressie game possible before he is graced with a first team shot.

if things are so bad that we have rely on a broken down former international dutch winger that hasnt played top flight football for how many months???? then we might as well pack up now and call it a day.

he has to earn it.
 

in those 20/30 minute appearances. VDM looked tired, out of shape and generally uninterested.....with the occassional flash of brilliance. Another reason why Yobo could've got on instead of VDM is he doesn't track back at all, its like he feels he has a god given right to sit higher up the pitch and not cover the defence. Baines will sit back into defence whilst in midfield, Moyes was probably aware of VDM's lack of any defensive effort and played baines outwide instead.

Read the interview with him. He was forced to train on his own with no shooting practise.
 

You missing some thing here Ichigo. Why was VDM on the bench? Must have impressed Moyes enough to be there or are you saying Moyes was just pissing him off by using up a sub space for a player that we might actually need on the field. You can't have it both ways.
 
depends on who is fit, valente has been struggling recently as has yobo, cahill and vaughan are long term absentees, howard injured has meant ruddy on the bench, euro games allow seven bench places.

So there is a choice yet VDM was on the bench, Rooney was 18 and playing for the club and country, Kendall was under 20. How old do you want a player to be to play?
