Opinions.I'm afraid not. The team of last year and the year before was the worst I had ever seen. This one is shaping up like a Moyes one in the early years
Now this is something I agree with you on, apart from the 6 months at most. The days of managers getting three seasons is from a previous generation, he'll get six months at most.
Even now, people have turned against Koeman.
Patience is not common in today's support, they want blood.
Opinions.
Having a squad of 'internationals' is no guarantee of success. Like club football some players gain caps not through being the best but by being the best suited to do the task the manager requires for the team. Conversely some outstanding players never gain caps for the same reason. It is a question of building a team best equipped to implement the coaches style of play. Koeman has just begun,it will take time. Traditionally ,barring disaster, a manager is allowed 3 seasons to get it right, Koeman is'nt even half way through his first. Some patience is required something you appear,at present,to signally lack.
Your view of defending seems deliberately naive. Defending is what the team does when not in possession, not just the back four. Successful clubs defend well as a whole team. In that regard we have definitely,in my opinion, improved.
Well, unless kev is about 10 years old (which i doubt very much) then his comment that "the team of last year and the year before was the worst I had ever seen." is just empty rhetoric passing as fact. Because we all know that the Martinez team of even last season (a season we were within an ace of two domestic cup finals) does NOT fall into that category.Facts.
I cant take to him. He's as cold as a witches tit.He could have at least sounded like he's glad he left Southampton. But ok, the weather is nicer in the south than in Liverpool.

Martinez was the best attack minded coach we've had at this club for decades.

If he turns this and gets us trophies I wont give a flying one like. But for me he's not an Everton man.
He needs to deliver I do get a bit of davek point but I do think Martinez was going to turn us into the next Wigan !!Thought it was flat as a witches tit. But much the same.
I know what you mean though. Hired hand, which if he delivers, couldnt care less.
Disagree. He's been a good manager before he came to us at a lower level of expectation in club football terms, and I believe he'll be a very good international boss. Not a great manager for us, though, and that's because he relied on players to do the right thing and play the way he wanted and discipline themselves the way he wanted. You cant do that at this level in this league. Managers have to rule with an iron fist in the PL imo. That doesn't, btw, mean that you do it in public. But you do it behind closed doors and you make sure the players know they cant take the piss. I thought RM would have done that at the end of his first season here: either wield the axe on Moyes' old players or start disciplining them. When Mirallas was allowed to take the piss with that pen I feared the jig was up if he couldn't snatch a trophy in his time remaining at the club. That I tend to agree with. Problem is he should never have been a manager.
International management and Bobby go hand in hand. It's tailor made for him. He has no input in their fitness and he gets 22 players turning up wanting to play. He has the tactics to win games. It's totally different to running a club our size though which I feel he was out of his depth with.Disagree.
