Actually mate from next month i technically will be getting paid more for largely the same job. I won't be getting better at my job as a result, just being paid more money slightly.
I get the higher wages can lead to better players as a result. Not disputing that fact whatsoever. I am talking about in the general sense, if the wage bill was higher would we be higher by default? Because according to the statistics, we suddenly would be finishing higher, and even contract extensions to barkley and rom type players are fully understandable, combined with the wage bill being increased overall.
But signing bolasie and giving him such high wages for arguments sake, has he improved us? Because by law of statistics he has done, because he is the 'better' player for more wages.
