His Twitter stuff is great.
I remember he had - might still have it - a private account for his mates and that. Had one favourite tweet and it was the 1-0 scoreboard over United with Moyes' face absolutely gutted.

Out of interest Who do you think strikes a ball better than himJust some guesswork here, but I think Ross took it the wrong way when Roberto, and probably Hodgson too, told him to have a lot of 'freedom' to express himself.
It would seem that up until now 'freedom' to him meant free from responsibilities when the other team has the ball. That's why fans got frustrated when he appeared to be idle except for going forward. I know it was only 1 match, but I'd say Koeman has said to him "You have freedom, but freedom to move around the pitch and do what you can and still get stuck in".
He's one of our best passers of the ball, probably our second best striker of the ball and his long balls and footwork can be decisive. He adds the work rate and he'll be a gem.

In fairness he probably meant BainesJags ... some of those cross field passes into the crowd are staightbas an arrow...
Heres a question for you..Romelu Lukaku believes Ross Barkley could become “the best player in English football” if he adds more goals and assists to his game.
Barkley, who will be 23 in December, was told by Ronald Koeman last month that he is no longer at an age where he is considered merely as potential.
Barkley lost his place in Koeman’s starting XI at Manchester City and was dropped by England before he volleyed Everton into a 2-0 lead during the victory over West Ham United on Sunday.
His performance at Goodison Park earned Barkley the man-of-the-match award and Lukaku – who turned supplier having scored Everton’s first himself – later gave an honest appraisal of the midfielder’s current standing within the game.
“I think the manager has been hard on him because he knows that Ross has the quality, he just needs to be more productive,” Lukaku said.
“He has got loads of qualities, especially in the number 10 positions. You expect goals and assists from them. He was productive today and that is what we need from him. When you see the firepower we have up front, we need more from Ross. We need more from myself as well and we are demanding from each other. That is the only way you can reach the top.”
Lukaku says that he has discussed what he expects from Barkley on the fields of Everton’s Finch Farm training ground.
“When we do the finishing or have the small games, I will just tell him to keep his eyes open and play with his head up. He can see much more then, he can see where the space is and he can play the pass or shoot himself. The decision making has to be better. When he gets that, you are talking about a fantastic player.”
Lukaku went further, outlining what Barkley must do if he is to develop into an established England international.
“At the minute, the players who play in his position - like Dele Alli and Wayne Rooney - they have got goals in them. I think Ross has to get more goals and more assists than he has been doing. If he does that, then he is going to play.
“Ross, to me, if he fulfils his potential, you are talking about the best player in English football. He has got everything. He has got power, he has got technique, he can shoot with both feet. He is fast, he can pick a pass. The manager [Koeman] has been working with him so he makes the right decisions on the pitch. Who is going to stop him?”

Love watching these clips of Ross when he's played well. People talking about his work rate Sun but three things stand out for me.
Firstly his retention. Lost the ball once when I thought he was fouled just outside their box first half. Made just one misplaced pass just after that iconic turn and surge, also in the first half. I actually put some of the blame on poor movement ahead of him. Not bad for somebody with a reputation for giving ball away.
Secondly his vision. Ross made countless one touch forward passes, many of them decisive but all finding their target, mainly Rom. Just shows the difference when he plays by instinct.
Finally he seems to have refound his pace and power. Maybe his fitness programne is starting to take effect.
Dont get ne wrong his workrate was better Sunday and did add to his game, but its about finding the right balance.

Believe it or not my favourite bit is when he rag dolls winstone Reid who make no mistake is a strong lad to the floor.Class.
It wasn't just the first time he lost the ball mate, it was the only time. As you say, he was surrounded by 3 players (which isn't unusual with Ross and speaks volumes for how other teams view his threat) plus he was fouled. But the commentators make a big issue about it, as they always seem to do, especially whenever he plays for England. The first time Ross "lost the ball" in the clip, he is surrounded by 3 players, and even the commentator has a pop at him, think its Hinchcliffe.

This perception that Ross loses or gives the ball away a lot is an absolute myth. His retention stats are up there with the very best, especially for somebody who plays such an offensive role. Other players are not scrutinised in this way so why is Ross. It makes me so mad. Dele Alli, who I think is also a fantastic player by the way, gives the ball away twice as often as Ross when he play for the National team, but completely get's away with it. In fact, media and commentators alike seem to make excuses for him.
Yes, Ross has been out of form for the last few weeks, certainly by the standards we have come to expect from him. And he hasn't kicked on in the way we all hoped and expected. But are you surprised given the stick the lad takes.? I'm just so glad that we had the real Ross back at the weekend and I just pray that that performance becomes the benchmark for the rest of his season. If so, we WILL compete for the top 4. That's how important he is to us.
Right. Rant over. Don't know where that came from but I feel much better for it.![]()
