Ross Barkley

Needs to get his head up more as he is not "seeing" passes that he should.
As for his tackling, there must be a big element of the double leg break at work in his mind at every 50:50

In the end even Martinez gave up on him and there were reports of a big argument between the two. I hope Ron doesn't ruin this season. We can still do something this year with Rom but it think Barkley is a lost cause.

As much as that saddens me but it has been two years of underwhelming performances and has never quite looked the same player after his knee injury.

Far from a sports psychologist but I've always suspected Ross bottles tackles because he's a mental block after breaking his leg.

That said thats not an excuse for lacking positional awareness and having a 'football brain'

Hope Koeman gets something out if him, but if I'm honest I don't think it will be at Everton. Can see Ross getting 'a big move' and if his 'potential' doesn't fall into place will end up like Rodwell et al.

Who is going in that position instead then? Mirallas? Snivelley? Kone? Valencia? All options that aren't as good.
Right now I would draft Davies in and if I'm honest I truly believe Mirallas would be a much better option down the middle. Look I would love Ross to be that diamond but right now I wouldn't pick him as a starter.
