Ross Barkley

Some utter turnips on here.

Everybody's entitled to an opinion, and I can get as frustrated with Ross as anybody else.

He's still one of our key players though and will continue to be. Why? Because he's very, very, very good at togger.

It seems since Stones (another top talent that people under-valued) has left the fume can be directed Ross's way.

He's no more inconsistent than anybody else his age.

Genuinely, since when did some of our fanbase become such melts?

I don't think you have the authority to end discussions on here. Unfortunately(and I hope I'm wrong) I think we're closer to the end of Barkley as an automatic choice, than we are to the end of the discussion about him. I suspect that Koeman and Walsh are having a look around at central midfielders with a view to er...'strengthening the squad' in January.....
Koeman is ruthless, but he is not stupid, so Ross has a chance ...but if he doesn't impress by Christmas, his time may be up.

It's a turn of phrase Steve.

But no, Ross's 'time won't be up'.

He's played every game this season - and pretty much the full games in each.

He got taken off after a poor 45 minutes and the change worked.

The over-reaction on here is ridiculous.

No one is untouchable. That's the message to the squad. About time too.

And I agree mate, it was a great decision and the right one at the time.

It wasn't that Ross was been lazy though - as I've said to others, go back and look at the full highlights or even watch the game again - and he is always looking to get involved. Stuff just didn't come off for him and he didn't manage to get his head up and get through it.

He was no worse than Kev or Rom in that first half though. The only difference is that all of our play was attempting to go through him and in that form he would just stall our play.

He'll come back from it. I just can't believe the over-reaction of some our fans.

Haha.

Context mate. You weren't talking 'out of 10' then?

Seriously for a mo, what's that position, 'in the hole'? I reckon he'd have success if he persevered there for a bit.
box to box mate. That's a classical 8 if you listen to the footy gurus, 10 is in the hole.

Gueye, Barry, Del, Bolasie have all influenced games and look like really good players, Ross has done nothing and looks clueless, people are just speaking the truth and saying what they see, you on the other hand are making excuses for failure, in typical fashion
