I actually think Forster is the better keeper and worth spending more on

They're the same age as well, so I'm not sure how Hart could be more experienced

sorry pal, but you are completely and utterly wrong on this, people have short memories, fact is if hart had a good euros half the people criticising him would be all over this, fair enough you might have thought he was average prior to the euros, but you don't play for that long at a top club without being proven quality, he has a mistake in him but who doesn't? every keeper makes the odd mistake.

forster is a top as well, but no where near the level of Hart

Hart would be an improvement so I voted Yes. But I want a goalkeeper who wants to play for Everton and not someone who will view us as 2nd rate and bring an ego the size of the death star.

If Butland was available I would sooner we went for him. I am just not sure Hart would buy into just what a fabulous club Everton is.

Good point... someone blow in Gareth Barrys' ear to give Hart a call and put him straight.

I'd love it if we signed players who were all blue through and through or became them, like Cahill, but that's just as a fan. On a footballing basis, I really don't think it matters much whether they actually do care whether it's Everton or Spurs or United. Most players have got to the position they are because they are motivated and are professional and will continue to be so even if they aren't playing at their 'first choice'. Wanting to die for the shirt isn't always a positive thing.
I've always disliked Joe Hart, he seems a rather unpleasant guy, so don't really want him for that reason but I'm sure he'd be a good keeper for Everton

Butland isn't available though

The belief is that Joe Hart is overrated, that's why people are hesitant. He'd cost massive money in terms of a fee and wage, when there are probably better options around for half the price.

I also don't think he's been anywhere near the best 'keeper in the league at any point in his career. I guess that is debatable, but for me I've never had him in my top three 'keepers in any given Premier League season.

- name one better option who we know is available this transfer window?

how does he seem unpleasant ? do you know him personally?

Daft comparison. Valdes was the goalkeeper for probably the most dominant club side of all time. Man City over the last 8/9 years are not comparable to Barcelona.

"Titles make no odds for a goalkeeper" - Tell that to Neville Southall.

"If you're at a top club, you face less shots on goal" - Top goalkeepers are the ones who can not be needed for 89 minutes, and pull out a match winning save in the 90th. If you are planning on facing 20 shots a game and keeping 17 of them out, i'd suggest a Rob Green.

Whether you're going off stats, honours, reputation or whatever, Joe Hart comes out as one of the very best in the league for the last 7 or 8 years. I honestly can't believe people think we are in a position to turn our noses up at a player like that.

Absolutely this. He's a top keeper and he'd improve us considerably.

if city are daft enough to let him go take him even permanently. he is a very good keeper and it
would resolve that issue for the next ten years

Unfortunately this is the market we are in now , the days of Cahill are long gone.
The players we are now interested in are driven by money and winning trophies.
Man utd ,Chelsea ,Liverpool & now City are full of these type of players we've had Hibbert & Osman as of late.
Lukaku would be off like a shot if big money & a chance to win trophies came his way , if he stays he will be like a number of players
that are willing to buy into Moshiri's vision. If this brings back the Glory Days then bring it on .... nice guy or not Joe Hart , big yes from me.

The Euro's don't come into it for me mate

I've had Forster comfortably ahead of Hart for about 2 years now

We'll just have to agree to disagree
