I would imagine the prices would be similar, owing to all three of them being English

The best option really would have been to go in for Tom Heaton before he signed his new Burnley contract, but we didn't have a manager yet at that point so hey-ho

Butland would be my first choice, followed by Forster and then Hart

I'd have all three at Everton tbf, but I'd only be prepared to spend silly money on the first two

If we get a good deal for Hart, or a loan, then fair enough, but I really don't think we should be sperlunking big money on him

Surely Koeman knows some good young Dutch keepers in the Eredivisie who could we could get a good deal on?

i respectfuly disagree, forster and butland both younger, first choice and very important to their respective clubs

Reading a few city opinions on him, they for the most part love him but are happy enough for him to move on to bring in another keeper who can play the Pep way.

General opinion seems to be that when they was under the cosh was when they saw the best out of Hart, games against Real and Barca being examples. When he didn't have much to do for long parts of games, seems he could be prone to making the odd gaffe.

I'd love to being Hart in. He's a very good shot stopper, much better than anything we've had in years. Seems that he may be loathe to commit to a team of our standing (just how it is) permanently just yet, but maybe on loan...

It's alright saying 'I'd rather get Butland or Forster instead' but we know Hart is available and likely to move. It's not often someone of his quality is made available. Very unlikely the other two would leave unless we threw ridiculous money at them.

But what if we have to throw ridiculous money at Hart mate?

If we're spending silly money regardless, why shouldn't we go for the better player?

We may have to but surely if they don't fancy him a deal is there to be done and likely to be for much less than keepers that are first choice at their clubs, younger and English too.
I'd imagine it would far more difficult to get one of the other two. Keepers don't move around much when they are first choice.

Fraser Forster remains one of my greatest shouts mate

I seem to recall plenty of people saying we shouldn't go for him when he was at Celtic, with me being the lone voice saying he was PL level

He's done quite well for himself all told :coffee:

(Feel free to add Wanyama and Van Dijk to that list as well)

Can we add Steven Whittaker to the list mate? And Kyle Broadfoot?
