Im going with "un noticed and unappreciated stars in need of nurture" (ie on the cheap :))

All fairness though if his skill is finding players that fit the system the manager wants and can be effective in that system that's a great skill to have.
Think it was the Leiscter fan earlier who said that. If he can do thst then he will be a fantastic recruitment, certainly a massive change to the last manager anyway

This bloke wouldnt have been our main target.

Just hope he wasnt too far down on the list.

Not convinced to be honest - sorry to be a miserable arse.

Not really a miserable arse but a typical Evertonian. We have been so fed crap for decades that most of jump at an exotic sounding player or coaching team member. The truth is, the top teams have Brits on board. If not, they would be screwed. And there you go. Digestive biscuits. Wellington boots.

Not sure that Walsh's brief will be to get too involved in the current transfer window, Koeman will know all the targets he wants now. Walsh's role will be to unearth future talent at reasonable prices and/or identify established stars most able to immediately fit into the Everton picture.

I imagine he will be handling the negotiating aspects but perhaps not be responsible for identifying the targets. He will be the man to get them over the line.

What has Watched Toffee got to say about all this malarkey?
I'm saying nothing until he confirms it.
