Two very good itk's have said they've heard Usmanov is coming, Bluefox and WRD.

I find it astonishing some fans can't get their heads round Moshiri and Usmanov planning an exit from Arsenal to here from day one.

Shares were available this week, why wasn't Usmanov buying them if he's prepared to sit and wait it out at Arsenal, he's the one who needs them more than Kroneke does.

This has been planned from the being, I'm certain of it.
I think you are dead right....

There's an option for Kroenke to do what in effect (theoretically and allegedly) Moshiri has been doing for Usmanov in allowing a 3rd party to purchase on an understanding.

I'm not sure what the allegation is here? If the allegation is that Moshiri has acquired shares in Everton for the potential benefit of Usmanov at some point in the future through Usmanov acquiring his R&W holdings then we are slap bang in the middle of what I was talking about earlier - two shareholders of different clubs each with more than 30% shareholdings in their respective clubs acting in concert. Totally against PL rules and something I don't believe has happened.

Sorry to keep returning to your comments. Usmanov does not benefit at all by acquiring further minority holder's shares. It makes no difference to him and his position if he owns 30.04%, 31% or all the shares not owned by Kroenke. Him not acquiring small numbers of shares in the open market is no indicator of his long term intentions.

Kroenke on the other hand can if he so wishes mop up minority holders as it reduces the number of shareholders and reduces the chance of new small but vocal shareholders acquiring shares. He's already coming in for criticism at Arsenal AGMs so he'll be very mindful not to allow potential dissenters to acquire small numbers of shares.

Kroneke wants 93%, he wants full control, he'd buy Usmanov's shares if he offered them, he as you know already tried to buy them in 2011.

He was obliged to make an offer for them in 2011 - now I doubt he's bothered for the reasons I have expressed at length.

From what I read today Esk it seemed that R&W were making noises that they were going to buy the major shareholders out but never did and then Kroenke did exactly that. Why didn't they make the move to acquire those shares before Kroenke did?

I don't know off the top of my head. I will find out.

I'd appreciate it, I was just curious after reading the Wikipedia pages for Usmanov and Kroenke. It looks like they were both close the 30% mandatory bid threshold in 2008 but Kroenke got there first and the other shareholders accepted his buyout offer before Usmanov could make one. I wonder if it had to do with Usmanov's legal troubles at the time.

I'll ask someone, will probably be Tuesday before I get an answer mate.

Not an allegation, just a scenario.

He was buying shares this week, when he didn't need them, he wants full control of Arsenal, R&W stopped him from doing that in 2011.

Again Esk, it's your opinion when all the evidence points to Kroneke being very interested in buying any shares to get him over the line to full control of Arsenal.

If I'm Al Capone, and I give ten percent of my ill (very ill) gotten gains to my accountant, surely we don't expect Al to just ride off into the sunset, bidding his erstwhile bean counter a merry good life?
Is Usmanov coming? As Yoda said
'Man cannot come to a place where he already is'

Sure it's just Esk's opinion, but from what I've read it's an opinion based on a sound business background... and facts.

TBH I'm just happy that we now have a backer with the ability to move us forward, and that's what we should be focused on... Anything else which may or may not occur, is just icing on the cake!

The facts are outlined by myself, and Esk doesn't need you to respond on his behalf kissing his arse.
