As nobody else wants to give an update and I suppose it's left to me (seems like all the other ITK's have gone quiet!)

Meeting with Emery reps took place today.

Very productive meeting and Emery clearly wants to be a manager in the Premier League and our 'project interests him greatly'.

Buy out clause and salary are not an issue.

BUT Real Madrid are......

Essentially if we want Emery, we need Real to win on Sat.

Then this deal has a real chance of happening, if not we have our work cut out as he has a very good chance of replacing Zidane.

Depending on Saturday's outcome, Emery will be in London for further discussions and hopefully confirmed as EFC manager at some point next week.

I'm not trying to make friends or enemies, just passing on well sourced information.

At this moment, De Boer is not an option.

If Real lose does that mean Simeone becomes our next target?

I am up for that ;)

Hala Madrid......Viva Zizou.

I want to believe.

Holy Moley out of nowhere.

Its Real Madrid though.

That is how they operate.

They are all just crazy ULTRAS
Yes but this would be insane even for them. The guy had half a season and nearly turned round the league when they were miles behind, including winning like a dozen(?) games in a row.

Not to mention he's also a club legend.

Can't see him being binned.

But aside from that is the timing of these ITK revelations - a few hours after they are on the AS site.

It's also not likely to be information that anyone connected to Everton would have (other than from the media). Can you really see someone interviewing for a job saying direct to their potential employer "well yeah I'm interested but I might get a better offer"?

The end part yes, people get job offers and take time to see all their options all the time of their a high end canidate.

Might be just me, but every time I see Emery mentioned, I immeditely think of this...

I'm imagining him making a hash of a substitution and running to Moshiri shouting 'Daaad! I got it wrong again Dad!!' :)

So the Champions League final............ basically boils down to a forum Derby............ GOT (REAL) v RAWK (ATHLETICO)....... Bring it on.......... this place (if information is correct) is going to be lively... to say the least............ orders Ale now.

This. Perez already has had the finger pointed at him for only winning the league once in 8 years...sacking a club legend over a final probably wont help him.

Well the lesson to be learnt here for next time is that you really should sack your underperforming Manager when it requires, and not wait/dither/procrastinate until the end of the season.

This "extensive search" with a recruitment firm should have been conducted months back.
