To whom it may concern

My name is Michael Fitzgerald and I am a Season Ticket holder in seat **** in Row ** of the Main Stand.

I have currently yet to renew that season ticket for next season and I would like to openly state that I will not countenance doing so if Roberto Martinez is not removed as Everton manager.

I am sure you have received other similar messages, so will thus understand the strong feeling amongst Evertonians at the moment.

I am strongly considering not even attending the game this Saturday against Bournemouth, such is the strength of my current discontent with the current team and manager.

I ask you to please consider the immediate termination of Mr. Martinez’s contract as a gesture of goodwill to a fan base that has truly had enough of his poor tactics and lack of humility.

I will immediately renew my season ticket if this is to happen. This would also be the case if advance notice was given that Mr. Martinez would certainly be leaving at the season’s end (As Celtic have done with their manager Ronny Deila)

Please pass this to the relevant department/Member of staff

Thank you for your consideration

Would laugh if they just replied,

So, what happened to "nil satis nisi optimum"? Or is it "nil satis nisi optimum unless £2 million swings in the balance, then it's NSNO after 2nd June."?

I like the fact that our club doesn't just sack managers on a whim, or do it in a classless style (side-eying Karen Brady), but enough is enough. Last week was supposed to be a defining week, wasn't it? And it defined Martinez as incapable.

For me, it's Martinez failing to sort out our defence over an entire season that is the most damning judgement of his abilities as a manager.

Our defending is disgusting, that's the only way I can describe it, basic mistakes all season, poorly organised, no cohesion whatsoever.

I'm ashamed at the way it is so easy to score against us, and Martinez has done nothing to address it, his coaching staff are a joke from the lower leagues, not one top pro amongst them, players need to respect coaches by seeing a coach that has been there and done it at a high level.

Martinez has had more than a fair crack of the whip to get things right, he wouldn't get the time he's had here at any other club in the league, and that's because we have Bill at the helm, the sooner he's away from making any decisions here the better.

Gary monk got the bullet pronto when things started to slide, Swansea still haven't replaced him, and he had a better record than Martinez had over the period that got him the sack, with a poorer squad to ours, much poorer.

"Most of his signings have been good"

Mcgeady, Alcaraz - agreed terrible,
Kone - has had his moments and didn't break the bank
Traore - was a loan and didnt play because of injury
Cleverly - hes done well and was free
McCarthy - i think hes been a good signing

what about the Lukaku, Del, Besic, Funes, Barry, Lennon...all decent signings

Mate if you have a scroll through my posts on this thread and the Moshiri thread you'll see that it is not Bill's decision, the Board will do as Moshiri demands. Martinez does not feature in Moshiri's vision of the future at Everton. The only remaining issue is timing, be it hours, days or end of season, no-one outside the club knows or has had an indication of his thinking on this subject.

Logically it should be now as there's no footballing reason for him to remain.
It's pretty unusual for a club to sack a manager with only a few games left isn't it? Can't recall any off the top of my head

Tell the to F Moyes right off aswel lad

Congrats mate on being quite literally the last Evertonian alive who thinks Martinez is "just on a bad run". That's quite an exclusive club you've got going there.
Hes saying that with cash to sign proven winners to supplement our gifted youngsters, Martinez may do a very good job.
I share the view.
I know lots of others who do too.

Some bad run that, two years. In fact maybe his whole time at Wigan was just a 4-year bad run as well

Whoever we get in, its quite clear. We need a manager who tells his players to give 100%, run your bollox off and close down the opposition when you haven't got the ball.

THAT Is what gets Goodison rocking, and if you can add fast attacking football or even possession football. Then you have championship winning team.

The atmosphere around Goodison has been fairly flat ever since Martinez took charge. A weird atmosphere has developed in which the entire stadium has come to be like the Prawn Sandwich Brigade at Old Trafford. Now its just turned bitter.

Barcelona are masters at possession, but absolute masters of closing teams down as soon as they lose the ball. Arsenal are poor imitators to Barca because although they can keep possession, their closing down play is mediocre in comparison, then add their frail mentality in and you have a poor mans Barca. Martinez wants to also play like Barca, but like Arsenal, seem to think it's all about possession. No closing of the opposition, no running your bollox off and even worse "slow" football with no pace. Add a poor defense and you have a poor mans Arsenal, and a slightly more glamorous Wigan.

The game against Man Utd at Wembley summed up our entire season. It was like our season is a nutshell. And I'll add, luck. Martinez isn't also struggling tactically, but the guy just hasn't had any luck.

Unless this answer is to the question, "Who would be suited to be a PR spokesman for a dictatorship in the Middle East", then that bold bit is never the right answer to anything.
