Reading that bolded line makes me feel so sad. 2 or 3 generations of Evertonians have been let down. I was only 9 in 85 but I remember it fondly. I will not rest until I see the club back to what it is truly capable of.

I'm 21 and have never seen us win a thing - that season was by far the highlight for me. Sad I know, but there hasn't been many positives.

We are 11th with 41 points. Crystal palace are in 16th with 39 points. That's a lot of teams on/about our points. Keeping him is a big financial gamble we will stay roughly where we are...

They're both awful managers and I'd like an elite manager this time, the very best not someone plucked from Preston or Wigan.
For me Moyes saved the club. I know a lot of people don't like him etc but to even have him and Bobby in the same sentence is unfair. We were going down if Moyes didn't come in, we're going down if Bobby stays. World of difference. We need an elite manager this time around agreed.

The fact he wasn't sacked weeks ago and still isn't sacked after last week surely now puts us on par with Newcastle as a laughing stock.

'Funnily' enough was saying the same to my Mrs earlier. If el soft lad is still in charge come the weekend then our board really will be showing showing Mike Ashley-esque style contempt for the fans.

We last won the cup on my first birthday.

Supporting Everton has been extremely testing, I think some blues my age have lost their enthusiasm for this club.

Not sure about this 'Moyes couldn't take us to the next level' stuff. I think that is as much to do with not being able to go and spend £50 million in a transfer window like the teams ahead of us could, and us having to play the likes of Anichebe and Saha instead of Henry or Van Niistleroy.

Anything can be debated, but some debates are very short. This is one.

Moyes was never taking us to the next level and for that reason I'd never want him back. But unlike Martinez, he did take us up a few levels and made us a top 7 team whereas beforehand we were relegation battlers. Bobby is taking us back to where we were over a decade ago in spite of our much stronger squad. But I'm just rehashing here. We all know this. We're just trying to occupy our time until Mr Nice Guy is shown the door.
You think our squad is really stronger? I'm not so sure. Lacks any real balance or cohesion. Anyways, I really want him gone now, but we'll probably have to wait until the end of the season

This basically.
