We stink of failure, acceptance of the failure, and have been positioned in the P L market to be the Olde Tyme Club with "values" which supercede on the pitch success.

The reek and aceptance of failure will be the thing that Moshiri will have to deal with if his investment is to mean anything.

This.
Wake up Moshiri ffs

My worry is that BK obviously likes Martinez, so why would he let someone get likes take the absolute battering that will await him from fans in the last few home games.

Surely he would save him this grief by sacking him now. It doesn't make sense unless it's about the compensation.

To Reiterate what others have said, the decision is not in Bill's hands anymore.
If Mosh wants him gone, he goes!

Tbf Moshiri didn't want to come in and start barking orders and sacking mangers right into his tenure. He must be in a difficult situation right now.

Bill will be like you have to have at stability and you can't listen to fans as they are fickle. Look at our rewards when we kept faith with moyes

Yes, who could forget the laps of honour round Wembley with the countless trophies etc

Not quite phenomenal, but still "Fantastic" Roberto!

Under-fire Everton boss Roberto Martinez is a "fantastic" manager says ex-player
Former Martinez goalkeeper leaps to ex-boss' defence as pressure mounts

Roberto Martinez has been labelled a “fantastic” manager and backed to turn it around at Everton.

The Catalan faces a fight to save his Goodison reign after the Blues lost their FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United on Saturday.

But Martinez’s former goalkeeper at Wigan Athletic, Ali Al Habsi, has leapt to the defence of the under-fire manager.

“I think he is a fantastic manager,” he said.

“I was with him for three years at Wigan and we win the FA Cup.

“I think the game against United was a massive one for him.

“You can see the pressure he has.

“There is always that pressure when you go to bigger club you have that pressure but for me he is a fantastic manager.

“He was a great manager for me to talk with and how he manages the team.

“But the pressure is part of his job for players and managers and hopefully he can get through all this and to see him with a better feeling next season.”

Martinez accepts that Everton’s poor season will mean he’s under scrutiny but Al Habsi reckons he can deal with the pressure.

“As a manager he will know how to handle that pressure,” he added.

“At a club like Everton they expect good performances all the time and expect high places in the league.

“They did not have all this, this year but we will see.”

'Why bother reporting anything when your clearly only on this site to be sarcastic. For those who are genuinely interested Lennon will be concluded later today and we remain to have 2 deals in place 1 a loan. Now pushing for permission to talk to the players involved. I would expect 2 in inc Lennon. More later .

'That certain price is 34M. If they don't offer this he will stay, if it does we will accept, with Evans one of the two CB that are lined up.'
Moyes cardy

Just one interesting thing to note, the post semi-final PR onslaught by Martinez full of self-justification and projections of future "success" (albeit the new definition of success is a significant downgrade on his claims 3 years ago) has had absolutely no support or comment from anyone within the club.

Saturday was the perfect opportunity for Bill (and he never misses such opportunities) to offer support to the Martinez vision of Everton's future.

Why did that not happen? Well certainly because Moshiri does not buy into that "vision" and perhaps even Bill himself, realises that Martinez cannot achieve anything at Everton.

Martinez's ridiculous comments in the press just further isolate himself from the club, the team and the supporters.

We need to just mutually either way end his reign of madness with him as our manager!

Actually, it's just an article that contrasts with the majority of opinion.

I'd say the media has been pretty solid in its recent criticism of Martinez. I don't really know what you expect?

This is something I've found strange about the situation - Moyes was never really under this sort of pressure, so maybe the club doesn't know how to react in this situation, most teams come out with a statement from the Chairman / Owner stating how they trust the manager for the future.

Or it's because they have no faith in him and don't want to make a statement...

I think this silence is deafening and it's only a matter of time, I can only assume Moshiri would like an instant handover rather than something of a limbo situation, possibly to stop outside sources getting at players like Lukaku and Stones while there is no one in place.
