Eddie Howe might be our next manager following this one. We need a proven winner. We need someone with authority to repair the damage that the last two years has done. Pellegrinni looks like he would be a good fit for a couple of years.
He has a winning mentality, knows the league and can attract the best players.

Howe would just be another Martinez

Contradiction in terms? What's he won other than promotion? Things could get tricky this summer, and we need an experienced, quality manager to hold it together. Mancini or Pellegrini for me. Most important summer since '05 for me. Let's not miss yet another chance to move on.

If we get another small time manager similiar to Moyes and Martinez I'm done with Everton, that's accepting mediocrity and I'm taking a backseat because they're already spoiling every weekend and I don't want that being the norm. We need to make a statement of intent.

I may be wrong but I don't think @Caolam was saying Howe to replace Martinez, I thought he was saying that Howe could possibly replace RM's replacement depending on how his career had progressed having potentially managed a Premier League club for a number of seasons.

So is the grim reaper going to appear in the stand next week like he did when we beat Moyes United?

I don't agree..

He should go, no doubt.

But Wednesday showed why.. Not today.. We played ok today and our striker let us down.. Not the manager.
Agree that we played ok and fought in the second half. Plus we did miss several good chances to win it. But, when looking at the Manager he's judged on the overall results (not 'unlucky' losses which all teams get). Its not been good enough for best part of 2 years now. Like you said yourself, he should go no doubts.
