To be fair, I do want rid of him but we came very close to winning yesterday with a patched up team and should have had the game won if it weren't for Cleverly and Lukaku missing chances which Martinez can't really be blamed for.
Still would like to see him gone before the end of the season and what's with several players looking like they're carrying extra weight at this stage of the season?

Sacking him now is actively sending a message that we expect more than semi-finals and bottom-10 finishes, and we have the resources to back it up. This message would reach out to everyone who needs it: the fans, players, investors and potential new managers.

Not sacking him sends a message that we are a mid-table club in the doldrums who may, or may not, be in the market for a new manager in the summer. This doesn't attract a Jose-type, it attracts a merry-go-round or up-n-coming type.

Yep. Exactly that mate.

Grim innit.

Yes.

Make overtures to Pellegrini right this instant and give el blend the tin-tack.

Send out a message that perennial losers and young hopefuls need not apply. We're in business for someone with a track record; not a maybe

The fella talks more crap than almost anyone I've ever came across and prob deserves to be sacked as he appears cluless at times and is failing to help us progress and helping us to regress but the over top cry arsing from conspicuous Evertonians is something I've never witnessed before, even through the Mike Walker/Walter Smith and near relegation periods I don't recall such self entitled behaviour that I've witnessed from some fans lately. It's very unprofessional and slightly embarrassing. The fella is trying his best I'm sure of that and should be treated with respect as an Everton manager should be and not turned on as if he's a Kopite who got us in this position on purpose. One 5th place finish and two mid table finishes in 3 years doesn't deserve the hatred some are displaying. I'm sure you'll disagree.

By all accounts kenwright is ruthless in theatre land. Why is he so hoodwinked by the catalan fraud. If hes still there Vs Bournemouth we'll let him know how well hes done over past two seasons ......

The Pre Season thread there made me think of how bad Martinez' preseasons have actually been. The two he has had a say in have been awful, look like they do absolutely nothing for their fitness, the quality is shocking and i swear we won about 1 game in two preseasons. Moyes had preseason spot on and despite us getting screwed around by the ICC it was a brilliant preseason.
