Just think this time next week it could all be over. No cup to fall back on and finished in the league.

Hope not like but it's a real possibility.

In 2013/14 I thought Roberto had some tactical awareness and style. The 3-0 against Arsenal when he played Mirallas, Naismith and Rom on the right against Monreal was some sort of flexible approach to his formation and he managed to harass Arsenal. We've got the players to hurt other teams but what's the point if we just do the stupid 4-2-3-1 and there's no width on the left, and useless slow Clev or Kone drifting inside, Baines on his own..
The worst part is that awesome players have gone backwards, and where we could've had 3 of the England back 4 (Baines, Jags, Stones) none of them will make it any more in the England team either. Osman has played well when used in short spells, Barkley looks exhausted and don't even want to talk about Kev or Niasse or Kone. :(:(:( It's a phenomenally incredible performance

5 straight league wins, starting on Wednesday, and lifting the FA Cup and I'm still not sure it'll save him. It could just do so, but its highly unlikely he achieve 5 league wins out of 5. Nah, he's gone at the seasons end.

Highly unlikely???? .....Bobby's got more chance of winning the Euro-Lottery than taking us on a run like that, including an FA cup win, they way he's got the team playing now

It's called perspective.

Some would have us believe we have already won the cup when we are only 2/3 of the way through the competition.

Some would have us believe that we're in with a chance.

Some would have us believe that we have no chance, and we might as well give up now.

I know what camp you're in.

Looking at a pic of Roberto the day he joined and looking at one now shows how much toll the job is taking on him, I suspect he feels out of his depth and its stressing him out a lot, which is fine because it shows he genuinely cares. Looks so pale and gaunt now, like he's spent the last 18 months locked in a bed sit with nothing but dope and frubes.

I believe we have no chance looking at our recent form but you already knew that. Don't think it's about giving up but more about expecting the worst. That's were I am at the moment. I don't think keeping him as the manager for the game gives us our best chance to win it.

Yeah it's what gets to me I feel for the man. He is trying to do a job after all, albeit not a very good one. I hope it works out for him either way!

Just out of curiosity, when will be the time you believe is the right moment to draw a line on his regime? I was calling for sacking Martinez last season and I understand your decision in giving him another season to rectify his results and weaknesses. Now that this season is coming to an end he has not improved and we are staying in the bottom half. 21 wins out of 71 PL games and worst home records ever are facts that you may have to consider. I respect your opinion on wanting him to remain but on what evidences or facts that have convinced you he is the right person to lead this great football club in long terms? Or even to another level. I only see a continuity of regression under his management. That's why I want him gone no matter he wins the FA Cup or not. The league form is horrendous.

I didn't give him another season, the Club did. I can have no bearing on whether he stays or goes. I think another pre-season and 10-12 games should tell its story.
A big bug-bear with me is that the plYers are getting off lightly while the manager is taking all the flak. Fair enough he's paid to manage them and be responsible for them, but surely the players have to show some responsibility? Mirallas has stunk the place out, and for all his ten-minute cameos Delefeu is a total lightweight, yet the crowd continue to blindly support them. Several of the senior pro's have coasted this season....Howard, Jagielka, Baines. It's been a collective shambles in my opinion when it promised so much. I'd hate to see a manager billeted and then players who have downed tools suddenly start to graft again...there's no place for players like that here.

Errr, who was the last Premiership club to sack their manager in the middle of April???? Semi or no semi.....

I bet they've not gone on to great things, if there's even such a club.

I suspect becoming a father has played a major role.
