Jesus Christ I lost it at this!!!!!!

I think even being seriously linked with a manager of Mourinhos stature is good for the club.

We need to start showing intent and sending the message to the fans and the media that the toffees are back and Bottom half of the table is not good enough anymore regardless of how many crap teams we beat in a cup run

But are we being "seriously" linked with Jose outwith the confines of this forum.

That bloke presenting the radio programme couldn't conceal his contempt for the idea when he spoke to Esk on Saturday night.

If it is the case that the players aren't playing for the manager it doesn't excuse them from playing for the shirt, hope whoever comes in next has a good clear out, some poor attitudes in that group

No point turning on the manager.

It ain't fault the board have watched this fiasco and failed to act.

He should have been out several weeks ago.

Thursday morning past at the very latest.

Or even Saturday night after that disgrace at Goodison.

The board failed to act.....it is their bad.

Time for the Moshiri out banners I think. Imagine that. He'd be like 'what the hell have I bought here'. To be fair he's probably thinking that already.

Yes.....he had that look about him in that picture someone posted here on Saturday after the match :pint2:

My point was more that even if you don't think he's a good fit it would be good to see him seriously linked. Not that he is yet

I still can't believe we laughed at Liverpool because Martinez rejected them, they had the last laugh.
Revisionary history. We had an excellent first season and brought in some excellent players. No one is laughing, just thinking we have massively underperformed. Didn't work out, but a lot of the handwringing is the symptom of the fragile egos of fans who are sick and tired of us being a mid-table team.

I remember people wanting Klopp and we got Martinez, how things change. I want an established manager now, we tried young and upcoming with Moyes and Martinez.
those managers were fine but i feel the line has been crossed now within the game. We cannot afford to give a manager another 3 years just to develop their imprint on the team, we need someone who can come in and make an impact, not necessarily win trophies instantly but at least challenge. If we have to pay for that, great, do it. Get it wrong now, or less ambitious now then we really will be left behind this time.

We should never have gone for him in first place though, he won an fa cup but he made Wigan worse season after season. He won an fa cup which you can't take away from him and if he retired tomorrow that would probably be what he was remembered for in 20 years time. I could live with 8-10th if we could see something being built, unfortunately it looks the opposite. My overriding frustration with him has been his interviews over the last 2 years. I don't know if he says things to the media to shield the players or he believes the stuff he comes out with, which is worrying if he does.

We need to try and get an established manager now.

Tbf the vast majority of the fanbase would have preferred Klopp because of his pedigree. Fans got behind Martinez because...erm...he was our new manager and we hoped he would grow at a club with a bigger budget than Wigan. But let's not rewrite history and pretend folks would have turned their nose up at Klopp. He's won a top European league and got to the final of the Champions League. When he was hired at Liverpool, most on here were laughing coz their squad was so crap, not because he was.

I fully agree, If your looking to challenge for CL and EL you can't go for a younger manager who's gaining experience, you need someone who's got the experience.
