Fair question mate. I was addressing a much wider audience, most of whom know little about Everton other than we play great football, score lots and concede lots, and have a wonderful young manager.

Certainly that's been the BBC agenda for most of the season. So it was an attempt to start from the beginning with an explanation of why he should go as well as the message "he should go".

For example talking to Palace fans on Wednesday hardly any realised the Martinez situation.

Indeed. People I talk to at work have no idea about him.
Even on a night out the other week got talking to one of her mates' boyfriends and he was like 'at least you've got a good manager'.

One thing that worried me yesterday, was there was basically half a team on the pitch who could be two good performances away from a Wembley place and they didn't look motivated to grab the chance, something deeply wrong with the club at the moment

I tuned in just at the end of him talking and thought i surely had misheard him!
The mind boggles that this is the general view of journo`s and people without the vested interest of us as a fanbase.
