Bit of a tip to everyone.

@The Esk knows this.

A business man like Moshiri.

Makes decisions at his choosing.

You avoid 'crises management' decisions or continual short term decisions as they inevitably are poor decisions in the longer term. Crises are actual crises not manufactured ones.

The fact Moshiri has done nothing yet. Is all the signs of an excellent proxy-chairman.

He's not Mike Ashley. Or Lerner. He's letting things play out. Until he he need do something. When he plans to do something.

This is the experience he has from being a billionaire running multi million pound companies and lots of them.
I agree with most of what you have said. However if you had just invested a large amount of money in a Ferrari you would not be happy if when you took it for a spin it ran like an Austin Allegro, you would be sorting it straight away

I'm telling you.

This is the risk we - or you in particular - run of making the club 'unmanageable'

Moshiri isn't going to play that game. He'll make a decision when he wants/needs to.

All things point to the summer.

No, that is just your opinion. Stop telling people as though it is fact.

Unmanageable?

We have a striker on par with the tip 2 teams in the league and yet struggle to win games for 2 years. We are well within our right to sack Martinez for not being good enough considering the players he has playing here.

And considering we are the same club who stuck by a manager for 11 years because despite everything the league form was acceptable considering the investment I'd say any manager wanting a stable job jumps at us over moving to a Chelsea.

You can give Martinez all the money you want, just makes every league place lower even more damming when our previous manager could sell 2 strikers and a playmaker, loan a couple of dodgy players and still out perform Martinez

Just been thinking.
What if we are in fact chasing a few big name replacements. As @The Esk mentioned we have already spoken to four, three of which he knows are still currently in positions elsewhere.
Should we be unsuccessful in finding the right man, could the Board be keeping hold of Roberto as Manager for the start of next season?
Hence the non sacking before the end of the season?

He wasn't the major shareholder there or have a proxy board seat.

Let's not play that game mate.

His position at EFC is incomparable

I am trying to understand here- okay you are defending Moshiri and his position in the club but are you also defending RM in this his second awful season and don't go on about cup runs as they mean sod all unless the cup is won.

Are we really into car comparisons mate?

EFC is an almost £200 million turnover company.

It's actually now one of the biggest businesses in Liverpool. Let's not treat it like a sports car, yeah?

It's not for joyriding.

Well we've only got 4 weeks and we'll know either way. 4 weeks today is the final game of the season against Norwich at home.

If he's going to be sacked, it makes no sense to wait until mid summer before doing it.

If a week or two passes after the final game and he's still here, we can all assume he'll still be the manager come August.

The first summer signing under him, will guarantee that also.

Of course, it will buy him time but not enough. He would be gone by November if this league form carried on. I would take a cup if that means another few months of Martinez. The issue is would the board want him to spend any cash and we would need to replace lukaku.

Like some say on here the board needs to be ruthless and still sack him if he wins the cup as I don't want to see another fan run on the pitch to have a go at our manager. This is an terrible time and yet we have a Derby and a semi coming up. How the hell are we going to pull two wins off this weeks. Was chelsea the cup game the last time we played good?

No.

That was the last good result we had.....but we did not play particularly well.

The first 75 minutes against Hammers......now, that was a good performance ;)

Then the wheels came off.

Whichever scenario is actually playing out, the crux of the matter is, if Roberto Martinez stays in charge of Everton football club for any longer, then the board should be hounded for gross negligence, billionaires or not!

might be in Liverpool but how about the PL where Everton practices it's trade?

You have to separate both.

Youre that focused on your wanting martinez sacked.

You've lost reality in how the business EFC is managed.

This 'sack him now' thing is pure fantasy.

Real world. Any sacking will occur in the summer. If Moshiri makes the decision to do so.
