Roberto on the whole is a decent bloke. He got rid of the David Moyes were plucky little Everton mentality.

He did and he didn't in my opinion.

Moyes used to struggle against United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. He regularly beat City (home and away) which is something Martinez has yet to do in a league game.

Other than winning at Old Trafford in the same period as Newcastle and West Brom (when I think they lost over one hundred years of unbeaten home records against three teams in four home games!) and battering Arsenal 3-0 at Goodison (both in his first season), what else has he done to rid us of this mentality?

In the two seasons since, apart from beating Chelsea at home which is something all-comers were doing, we have done nothing in the league against United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs or City.

Moreover, he is now lauding as "incredibly satisfying" away draws at hopelessly out of form sides such as Watford and Crystal Palace.

This has arguably returned us deeper into "plucky" territory than we ever were under Moyes.

The article in the Echo yesterday was comedy gold, mentioning it's the last few weeks of the season which are the most important and we've timed it perfectly.

Plot. Lost.

lollollollollollollol what has he timed it perfectly for? a final run at the top four? or timed perfectly not to get dragged into a relegation fight in the last few weeks now we have the magical 40?

Woo a game earlier then last season.

Perfect. Timing. Get lost Roberto.

I'm actually petrified about the Derby, especially with the lack luster performances we've been witness to

I was worried about West Ham this week now it looks like Man Utd who have beaten us home and away twice might take us to the cleaners on a big pitch and now last night.

What incentive is there for the fringe players to put in a shift tomorrow? None. We are going to get thumped Sat then I am going to watch MLB for the rest of the month.

He doesn't try to knock down the club like moyes did lowering expectations, plucky little Everton tag was engineered by ginger blurt. Bobbys always bleating on about the level this club should be at and things it should be doing, hes played a big part in changing our psyche he just can't match it
