If @The Esk is correct and the targets are all currently employed at different clubs, we'd probably be looking at an interim until the summer. Think an Interim manager would do better? In a cup semi-final?
We have another fa cup winner at the club who can step in if need be.

One that the fans would get behind massively and the likes of barkley and baines would look up to. He would probably install some everton passion back into the team if nothing else compared to what we have now

Roberto on the whole is a decent bloke. He got rid of the David Moyes were plucky little Everton mentality. He is a man who is of the mentality that Everton FC bow down to no one.The first season under him was brilliant. He deserves credit for that. But we have seen over the course of the last 2 seasons just isn't good enough. If or should i say when we win the FA cup i still don't see Roberto Martinez as being capable of turning Everton into regular champions league/title contenders. There are qualities to the man that i like.He helped assembled a talented Everton squad but he has failed dismally to make the most out of what he has assembled. With an FA cup win he will be remembered kindly and it would be a nice way for him to bow out.He has to go though it's just that simple.

There is nothing to lose in ditching him now.

Absolutely nothing.

And so much to gain.

Its really not going to happen though is it? It certainly should happen, and my saying it might force it to happen in some bizarrely superstitious witch-drowning world. Sadly no, we are about to trundle on to a fizzling out of the season and a summer where Lukaku, Barkley, Stones, Funes Mori and Deulofeu all move on to be replaced by Niasse, Kone, Osman and some youngsters at the back. I am not sure many people on here think we can beat Manure in the Semi even though they are lifelong fans. I have never before found myself in that spot - there has always been blind belief until now. The feeling that anything can happen over 90 minutes has been drained from us all by the charlatan who believes his own BS.

The 'home table' has us relegated with Villa and Sunderland... the 'Away table' would have us in a Champions League spot. We are Everton after all..

The only way he's gotten rid of that mentality is by removing the plucky part. We're now just little Everton under him.

95 was 21 years ago. Footballs changed a lot since then.

What makes everton special hasn't though.

Plus you aren't asking him to win us the league, just get the team up for the semi final and possibly final after that.

Or you could go and watch both United games this season and expect thst to turn up instead.

Or the Everton that beat City and Chelsea in the cups could turn up. We've been alright in them so far.
