Usually I'd interject with something like "come on lads, he must have some good points" but I'll be honest, I'm struggling to see any.

One thing I do think is important though, is while I feel it's fine to protest against what we percieve to be less-than-good performances and results, we really do need to stay behind the team. We have Liverpool at Anfield and a Wembley SF v Man U coming up, and while I'm firmly in the "Roberto: get out" camp, I really do think we need to stay behind the team - not that I'm suggesting we're not behind the team, but let's not let our disdain for the manager cloud our love for Everton and Everton potentially winning trophies.
Totally agree, I said similar the other day on here.

More banners and more booing is just going to hurt the players, if you want Martinez out, don't worry, Moshiri is on it, he will be sacked, we'll get a new top manager and we can look forward to a new dawn and the quality players we sign in the summer.

I was framing my post around Martinez rather than Klopp, tbh.

Fair enough, personally think everything should be important, domestic cups become less important when your in Europe year in year out obviously, but think many managers just use cups/europe to hide their failings

Can only see this coming week being horrendous with him still in charge. Another home defeat tomorrow, another Anfield derby defeat and another semi final defeat too. There is just no positivity around at the moment to think otherwise.

Let's not bother next weekend lads. The Cowboy says it's not worth it. Sell your tickets.

after last night ive decided supporting everton is all bad...im now fully prepared to lose the derby and semi-final, i am at peace with this decision...sometimes supporting everton seems like a punishment for things i have done in a previous life...#glenhoddlewasright

Cups are nice. But they're not important. The league is important. The league is everything.

Cups aren't important?

You are out of step with the 35,000 of us who snapped up semi final tickets like hotcakes and the thousands more who will be dotted all around the rest if the stadium......possibly yourself among them.

Cups are very important.

Especially the one they are up for as the prize for winning it is a CL spot.

Ergo wining the Europa League is better than finishing second in the league as you get a bright, shiny trophy to go along with a CL wild card.

This is about to be the worst/best week of being an Evertonian for ages...

Won't happen mate, the crowd has already turned and it will just get worse by the game until he goes now, seen it all before

Is that right? Thought it was Europa not CL.

I think I speak for many herein our forum when I say that watching our intra-city rivals' performance vs Dortmund lent us a not a little envy. I know this is heretical talk, but don't we wish that our team could play with such 'never say die'?
The Martinez apologists robotically parrot '72 points'. But the RS replaced a manager who got them 84 points in our same 'but 72 points,eh?' season...and was still seen (correctly) as inadequate.

Thankfully, I genuinely believe change is imminent.

It cannot happen fast enough...we have fallen waaaay behind.

Winning the cup is nice. Very nice. I really hope we do so. But it is not important in the grand scheme of things. Sure, it gets us an EL spot, which would also be nice to win.

But finishing 2nd in the league is much more important to the success of the club. It suggests a title might not be far away.

I don't think I'll be able to express my viewpoint on this correctly, writing on my phone.

You only think you are "at peace with" it Neal.

I have tried that approach so many times in the last half century I just wollow in the depression for a day or two now because I know I will soon come out fighting again.

It is the only thing we can do.
