Usually I'd interject with something like "come on lads, he must have some good points" but I'll be honest, I'm struggling to see any.

One thing I do think is important though, is while I feel it's fine to protest against what we percieve to be less-than-good performances and results, we really do need to stay behind the team. We have Liverpool at Anfield and a Wembley SF v Man U coming up, and while I'm firmly in the "Roberto: get out" camp, I really do think we need to stay behind the team - not that I'm suggesting we're not behind the team, but let's not let our disdain for the manager cloud our love for Everton and Everton potentially winning trophies.

He wears a nice coat and he hasn't gone full Brendan Rodgers yet

If it had been any other team I would have sat there and applauded.

Instead I am totally depressed because games like that will springboard them back to the top table......while we continue to flounder.
Annoying though it is to see them progress, I'm not unduly concerned. They can win as many ELs, League Cups and FA Cups as they like, they've been a cup team for 25 years and nothing more.

I'll choose my words carefully here for fear of a mega-vaulting - Klopp has them playing well in the EL and the RS have always known how to get themselves out of trouble (especially so in Europe), but nothing I've seen in the league tells me they're going to shoot to the top of the table any time soon.

Lose tomorrow and he should 100% be given his marching orders afterwards.

After watching that lot last night compared to our pathetic and tepid performances in recent weeks, if we go into next week with that gimp still running stuff then I fear the worst week possible for Evertonian's.

Jesus, we have not been this stale for years and it feels crap.

Maybe your right, but can't forget the fact that so far Klopp has not brought anyone in mate, to have gotten some of the results he has got so far with the players left when he took over is actually quite an achievement, he has basically used this season to fully evaluate the entire squad and see who is capable of playing the way he wants and who isn't and he still has them in a 'decent' position in the league - narrowly lost a cup final, and has them in the semi of the Eufa having just knocked out the big favourites and best team in it.

That isn't bad for a manager who has effectively decided to not gamble in January transfre window and instead make the season about figuring out what he will need to do this summer, he will have a lot to spend this summer from shifting on those who he deems can't play the system he wants, they 'could' be right up their next season.

Look at how much he has improved a few of their players already like Lovren, Lallana, Origi and yueah theres signs they could really be in the mix next season, especially so if they win this cup, with CL AND Klopp their they will be able to attract a top level of player...

That's the thing, cups are there to be won. As much as I agree with your post mate, some fans are happy to keep going with Martinez on the basis he wins a cup. Either cups are massively important or they aren't for a team, but that is a another tired discussion probably covered in here lol

Cups are nice. But they're not important. The league is important. The league is everything.

3-1 away at Chelsea, 4-1 away at City, 3-0 at home to City, 4-1 away at Stoke, 6-1 hammering of Saints away in the LC, absolutely battering United at Anfield in Europe, and the Dortumnd game - both legs, mate they are inconsistant - but are less than one year into a completely different system and demands of them as players, those games are all signs that when he gets this team moulded the way he wants - ship off those not capable or not hard working enough, brings in players who can do what he demands, then they will be a very dangerous team.

We just have to hope to hell that the players at Dortmund and the person who picked them was the director of football moreso than Klopp

He was never going to be able to have the consistancy whilst changing their style completely to challenge this seaosn though mate - not whilst he seems to have decided early on to test everyone in that squad with game time, he's kept them respectable in the league whilst going for the one off cup route which is easier to get them up for his style each time by the look of it.

Can't fault what he is doing so far, this summer will be very interesting all around the league i feel

I was framing my post around Martinez rather than Klopp, tbh.
