Or the Everton that beat City and Chelsea in the cups could turn up. We've been alright in them so far.
Aye, we also threw a 2 goal lead against city as well in the process which is what we do in the league.

I'd like to believe that we would turn up and fight like that again but if we can't do it in either game vs United, or Watford, or Palace then it doesn't fill me much hope we are magically going to find that again.

Especially if the team has largely played 4 games in 9 days at that point.

I'm willing to give him more time next season if we win every single league game remaining(bar any one which we draw) including the derby AND we win the FA Cup.

A tough ask, but after the absolute s***e we've been put through this season it's only appropriate.

If @The Esk is correct and the targets are all currently employed at different clubs, we'd probably be looking at an interim until the summer. Think an Interim manager would do better? In a cup semi-final?

I sure do.

In my opinion we have zero chance of winning the semi final under Bobby.

None whatever.

Personally I would get rid in the morning and let Royle guide us until the end of the season.

I feel we would stand a better chance of seeing a motivated team out there on that pitch.

That's the way I am feeling right now.....in fact I have been advocating such a move since the Arsenal debacle.

Its really not going to happen though is it? It certainly should happen, and my saying it might force it to happen in some bizarrely superstitious witch-drowning world. Sadly no, we are about to trundle on to a fizzling out of the season and a summer where Lukaku, Barkley, Stones, Funes Mori and Deulofeu all move on to be replaced by Niasse, Kone, Osman and some youngsters at the back. I am not sure many people on here think we can beat Manure in the Semi even though they are lifelong fans. I have never before found myself in that spot - there has always been blind belief until now. The feeling that anything can happen over 90 minutes has been drained from us all by the charlatan who believes his own BS.

The 'home table' has us relegated with Villa and Sunderland... the 'Away table' would have us in a Champions League spot. We are Everton after all..

You are probably right Charkes, but we can dream :(

Let's hope our honchos watched that battling display at Anfield tonight and realise that if we are to have any chance next Saturday action needs to be taken now.

Can you imagine what it is going to be like this Saturday if we are treated to what had now become the usual fayre, in light if what happened over there tonight?

This coukd well be the first manager in history sacked because of another team's performance in a competition which was nowt to do with his own team.

Normally you are always worth reading but that's just crackers!

Here's the thing as well, Ash.

Contrary to what people would have you believe, we were not particularly good against Chelsea.

But just for once we didn't gift wrap a goal for the opposition.....and Rom found his inner beast in a moment of magic.

But it was not a great Everton performance..
