FYI, North Texas Toffees will be on NBC tomorrow as their local, the Londoner Addison, won NBC's soccer bar award/contest. I'm sure they share the space with other US supporters groups, but keep a look out for the good guys in blue.

DALLAS-AREA BAR “THE LONDONER” WINS NBC SPORTS GROUP’S “BEST PREMIER LEAGUE BAR IN AMERICA” CONTEST

Dallas Premier League Ratings Among Top 10 U.S. Markets, along with #1 Washington, D.C., Boston, Philadelphia & New York

Winning Bar Receives $50,000, an Exclusive Viewing Party & National Commercial

STAMFORD, Conn. – February 23, 2016 – The Londoner in Addison, Texas, was announced today as the winner of NBC Sports Group’s “Best Premier League Bar in America” contest. The bar was selected based on the number of in-bar check-ins it received, fan content submitted online and shared on social media, plus review from an NBC Sports Group judging panel.

As part of their campaign for the competition, the Londoner organized a charity drive for new and gently used soccer equipment to donate to local children’s teams, hosted a photo booth outfitted with a green screen so fans could take photos appearing to be at their favorite Premier League stadiums, provided a “Soccer Santa” around the holiday season for family photos, and more.

“Here at the Londoner we have been opening for all BPL games for almost 20 years. Long before many bars hopped on the soccer bandwagon, we have been relied on to open for every game no matter how early,” said Matthew Tate, bar manager at The Londoner. “The Londoner has a great staff, great BPL soccer fans, and truly is an English pub.”

The Londoner will receive a cash prize of $50,000 to upgrade its viewing experience, as well a party hosted by NBC Sports Group for all fans who helped them earn the ultimate bragging rights. NBC Sports Group will turn scenes from the party showcasing the pub into a national TV commercial, which will be featured on NBC and NBCSN during Premier League coverage next month.

Good on the Texans - I'll be in Addison for work later this month and will have to stop in. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to catch one of the youth games in the Dallas Cup.

Congrats North Texas Toffees!

There is a good group in Ohio that meet for games. Here in Columbus we have 5 bars that consistently open at 7am just to show the games. Most of them serve local craft beers too.

This article pretty much sums up how I came to be a blue except for it was McBride and Warzchya instead of Preki. Both of them played for the Columbus Crew.
Little known fact the previous Everton head trainer came from the Columbus Crew and now has since returned to the state which has lead to an increase of 37% in time spent out of the line up for Everton players.

Craft beers with fruit in them?

Not a chance.

Our area breweries specialize in IPA and Hefeweizen. A few hoppy lagers and stouts depending on the season. Really to be honest the selection here is outstanding and supports 3 festivals each year with about 50 local brands at each.

All the more to enjoy...or cope with the weekend Toffee Tragedy.
