Some Everton fans wanting AVB. Spurs sacked the same AVB, despite him having their best ever win percentage for a manager.

Not advocating a managerial merry-go-round but it's indicative of our lack of ambition, how this is Martinez's second season of mid table results and he's still here.

We're not even mid table.

We're in the no hopers section of the league .

He wont be sacked before the cup run ends. Rightly so IMO.

As @Mikey_Fitzgerald said, the league is done. Busted.

In 2 one off games I would not be the remotest bit surprised if he delivered. And he deserves a shot at that.
Where do you get 'deserves' from?

He's been paid handsomely to manage the best Everton squad in many a year to 14th potentially lower in 51 hours, he deserves the sack, he's beaten only Chelsea on this cup run, even then it required a mix of luck (Costa rolling ball across goal line) and magic (Lukaku)

Going to put it out there and say if he wins us the FA Cup he should be given more time, winning a trophy for the first time in 21 years could be a mentality changer.

If things don't change start of next season after a summer of spending then get rid.

Martinez removed from his position

The Spanish ambassador to Belgium has been removed from his post amid claims he was often absent from work and "abused" his position.

No official reason was given for Ignacio Jesus Matellanes Martinez's removal.

However, an official report seen by one news agency said his "absenteeism and unwillingness to work" had led to the embassy being "paralysed".

Edit: oh I hope I didn't confuse anybody

us winning the cup now after this turmoil and jags injury is pretty damn uncertain.

14th place on 39 points with 31 games played.I didn't think we'd do as bad as last years pitiful finish and points total.Credit where credits due to Bobby though he's outdone himself this season. He's taken a regular top 5/top 6 team and made it 6 to 7 places worse off. It's time for the new investor to assert himself here.

not sure why anyones believing the "resignation" story, doesn't make sense from literally any of the involved parties points of view. First of all Martinez would never resign. Secondly if what the Esk is saying is true about the board reaching out to possible replacements then accepting his resignation would save them a bunch of cash. Thirdly (which goes back to point 1) by turning down his "resignation" that would indicate the board want him to stay which would strengthen Martinez resolve as he would feel he has the support of superiors.

I think he'll get the rest of the season to win the cup and try to finish as high in the table as possible. If he's not achieved what Moshiri deems acceptable he'll be gone, if he does he'll stay. It's that simple.

If we carry on not winning up to the semi and then lose the semi the club will get blasted.
If we get rid and then still lose the semi the club will get blasted.

The club can't win either way so might as well do nothing like they usually do.

Controversial I know but our trophy drought is embarrassing, if he wins it he should at least be given one last shot.

If I said a mid table finish and a trophy at the start of the season would you have accepted it?
agree with that mate, how anyone (hypothetically) can turn their nose up at an FA cup (which also gives an EL berth) when we haven't won anything since 95 is surprising. not saying he should stay for life mind but if anything should buy someone time... it's ending a massive trophy drought
