I suspect your issue is about the poll result not it's mere existence.

I have no problem with the poll, the result etc...

Here's my problem. You want to run a poll and sack him now. Feckin' go for it. Take Kendall and Catterick out of the equation cause there's was a whole lot of supporters then, who wanted them out and there wasn't any polls around at that time.

I've stated time and again, never wanted Martinez, look at the names above, I'm all for out. You want to sack a manager on an eve of a semi final. That's just unrealistic and certainly doesn't come under the mindset of Bill Kenwright.

Just what are you hoping to achieve here? Is it that unreasonable to suggest that taking a good, long hard look at it at the end of the season, isn't preferential to Polls and demanding him out now?

This is the problem with polls themselves though, they reduce quite complex arguments to statistics. I voted in in the poll, if another came up now I don't know how I would vote. I don't think an "in" or "out" really covered my viewpoint.

However where I have some sympathy with this view I would say that there greater complexity is available from people's posts. I am not sure having a poll has the same causal effect on the mindset of the fans. In many ways I think it probably pacifies it, as otherwise each side would probably be trying to argue they are in a majority. Always impossible to tell and a poll doesn't give us an answer for this, but it certainly gives more clarity.

I appreciate that "people aren't bets pleased" but in all honesty people haven't been best pleased for 18 months. Does that mean we should not ever have any polls? Or what validity do polls have if only conducted when people are pleased? There is a sizeable section of fans who would like Martinez gone, for the most part I disagree with them, but I respect the fact there is a debate and also understand what a poll can offer to that as well as it's limitations.
Yeah I agree to be honest. I've no problem with the poll but it's a lot less important than what individuals actually think. Neither in or out has reflected my views since he's been here. But you'll be lumped into one side or other and that's the danger for me.
Nothing the site can do about it. As usual it's up to individuals to either see that everything has context and polls don't actually make any argument right, or use it as a way to think they don't have to justify an opinion.
Everyone I speak to may something along the lines of 'he has to go' or 'wait and see'. When you discuss it more they all have pretty similar concerns and different solutions. But all have positives and negatives.

Class man, too bad he can't string a side for [Poor language removed].

Unquestionably he seems like a good bloke. But, personally, I'd take an utter snide who wins the lot over a nice fella any day of the week.

He was probably embarrassed by the banners, realises he has overstepped the mark, he will say anything now to get the fans back on side. Too little too late I am afraid, I think he has used all of his goodwill up with the majority.
