It was all fine until he said:

“I’m here to make sure the team has a clear direction of how to play and to develop a winning team and it’s great to see the performance we had (at Watford).”

What performance?!
I don't want to sound desperate defending him but hopefully he meant it's good to see a small improvement from the Arsenal and United game - but I'm picking at it there, we all know how much rubbish he can come out with.

There definitely was an improvement from the United and Arsenal games.

But then Watford aren't Arsenal or United and we still didn't win.

I just need him to say he's got things badly wrong and I'll feel a bit more sympathy for him.

More shocking stats...

One thing that shows in them stats is that we gotta do something we haven't done this season to win that semifinal. We should be really confident about it, no teams left in it. We shouldn't be fearing this crap United or this decent west ham team but I am.

Gareth Barry has risked the wrath of Everton’s under-fire manager Roberto Martinezby again highlighting the team’s underachievement.

Last week Leighton Baines was publicly shamed by the Spaniard and forced to apologise for suggesting Everton lacked “chemistry” on the pitch.

Everton dropped more points at Watford in a possible FA Cup final rehearsal after it finished 1-1.

Banners were unfurled by travelling fans reading ‘Baines is one of us’, and ‘Martinez out’.

And in comments that echoed some of Baines’s sentiments, Barry said: “When you look at our league position, with the players we’ve got, we need to be higher. You can’t argue about that.

“There is a lot of negativity around at the moment. We don’t want to finish another season in the bottom half of the table.

“We need to make sure we start playing better together as a team.”

That question about whether you would see Everton lose a game to get rid of Martinez should be answered as if you have smallpox and need to take a minute shot of smallpox in order for you to not die of smallpox

Wow. Homeopathy on GOT. Whoever would have thought it?

But you're right in any case

It would only be Homeopathy if the small pox had been diluted down so much that there wasn't actually a trace of small pox left in the solution, and you were only administered a sugar pill.

But I think I may be going a tad off topic here on one of my anti pseudo science rants ..... so.....errrrm.....

Martinez hey! Get rid now please

Please Tom Cleneviley now is the time for your Magnus Opus, a subtle yet scathing damning of the Martinez setup.

Just enough to see you dropped due to a convenient "niggling injury" that keeps you out until, say, April 2018
