Why can't you do this again Martinez...

Seen that myself.

"The differential between home defeats and away defeats is on course to be the biggest in the history of the top division, going back to 1888"

We've got an away record that compares to Leicester and Spurs, but a home record that compares to Villa.
We've got 7 less points than Spurs away and 11 less than Leceister. Barely comparable.

Do we really?

Yes, the reasons i would keep him are:

A-- He has a vision of good football
B-- Id like to see what he can do with money
C-- He signs young players with long term focus
D-- Very positive personality
E-- "Could be tactically astute with the right players

At the moment in the short term its not good enough and hasnt been for ages now....but i like to be positive and see him have an opportunity.

I'm a nice guy that way :)

He can attract good players himself and i think with our core of quality others will want to come and we have money now.

Quite frankly though i want a massive load of changes on the playing side.....disgusted with some of them.

D'oh, I did say a few days ago I wasn't going to get involved with your posts for the foreseeable, however..........

"At the moment in the short term its not good enough and hasn't been for ages now".
You can quote all you like about £10m-£20m top players, all your lists and your A-Z's etc etc, but have a think to yourself about what you have just written there!! Bye for now, again!!

Were in no to fit state to win the semi final right now so pinning hopes on that is pointless.

Whole club needs a lift. Ironically our best stab at winning the cup may be removing the manager who led us to semi over Dagenham, Carlisle, Bournemouth reserves and Chelsea.

Villa bought players for huge fees who were not good enough and put them on massive long term contracts.

o'Neill then demanded more money to spend on dross and was refused....then they made some daft appointments whilst trying to move players on after Lerner took a hit financially and became disillusioned at the club.

Its the opposite to where we are now. We have players we can easily sell on and a new owner and also alot of dross leaving this summer..

I cant see the link.

Lerner was fantastic to begin with as well, quite simply we have no idea how he's going to feel in 5 years time.

The comparison is quite simple. They were performing at a very similar level to us, then they started to drop to lower mid table, and made some bad decisions. Basically, if we lose our better players and replace them with crap we're extremely vulnerable.
