The only way it'd happen, is if they knew that he was getting the boot mate. Players don't mutiny in that way.
The way they do it, is by not playing for him. Look at the Chelsea players and Mourinho. We may be witnessing the start of that here mate. The next few games will tell us a lot about the relationship between the manager and the players imo.

Yes I agree. Watford will be a dire performance as will Southampton and then the derby and semi final we will turn it on.

as much as i dont agree with banners saying this person out and that, we do need to raise how unhappy we are with the manager but we have to stay behind the team look how quick things can change R:E villa, i worry kenwright is blinded by martinez after his comments after the chelsea game about what a great manager we have

And if they do that then the manager keeps his job.

They should be coming out and playing the best they can to win games for the club (they get paid huge wages to go out and try to win games, it's their JOB) and the fans whether they've got a problem with Martinez or not.

At the end of the day it should be the decision of the people who run the club, and not the players whether Martinez is sacked or not.

Listen, the players have given up on him. Its obvious. They are flat. For the best part of a year or longer, performances, both individually and as a team, bar the odd exception, have regressed massively.

Footballers are selfish; they will rather get up for the semi final knowing what is at stake than a game where its in effect now meaningless, especially when they don't like there boss.

There is nothing idiotic about it. Its why there is cup upsets; what can the likes of Bradford manager coach to his players when they beat Chelsea? Do you think the Shrewsbury manager tactically outwitted us and helped his players beat us many years ago?

They wanted it more. If it was down to managers then we wouldn't be in a semi final as results have proven we cant win many games under this manager.

Its about desire, motivation and luck. I would add organisation in but there is none of that, hence why I haven't included it and wont as this regime cant organise a team to be set up and be hard to beat .

If you think these players are going to be 'inspired' and 'coached' by Martinez in the semi final to the extent that it is the difference between winning and losing then your wrong.

Okay your correct, we need to sack Martinez because you could do a better job and becuase Everton football club dont need a manager because our players can win the game by themsleves. good argument.

my point is he needs to go, but right now, it would be useless.

Let's say you are Martinez. What do you do now to resurrect yourself?
Good question and I think @Kiwi quickly nailed it on the head with the "Win football games by any means necessary" remark.

For many I think the time the decision has already been made, however for those still undecided (and for the board) it has to be victories.

A run of victories would relive some of the pressure so he'd have to go about getting those at any costs, hence sacrificing his philosophy.

Ugly and hard fought wins may not be as pleasing to the eye although they put points on the board and build momentum. Will he do that though?

I think he's dug himself a hole so deep down and he's become so entrenched in his ways, that he has become unable to save himself.
