It's a disgrace regardless. There is zero excuse for a team of our ability to not be arsed about the league. I could understand if we were competing in Europe too or had suffered a load of serious injuries, but this is not the case.
I'm with you in that Cup win or no Cup win its a disgrace regardless (league wise). There seemed no real desire or intent to turn that game around yesterday. Maybe if Jags header goes in we'd have been back in it straightaway and it might have been different. You've mentioned the ability of our team. But I'm beginning to wonder if I (and thousands of others) have in some way misjudged how good we really are. I've been saying since midway through the season that we're much better than the RS and better than our league position is/has been. But, I'm starting to question it now. Of course it could just be that the Manager is responsible for not being able to make them tick at home.

i really don't know if we watched the same match.
We offered absolutely nothing yesterday. Once we conceded we looked exactly like we did against Arsenal.
And let's be honest that's not quite the same United team as before.

I'm amazed that anyone not on the wind-up can see us punting the ball long at Aaron Lennon and think 'played well there'

Ever been in a discussion with someone thats turned a bit heated where you have taken a stance and refused to move from your point of view even though you know your talking rubbish? You cant give in though as you've painted yourself into a corner and the climb down will be embarrassing. All you can do is stick it out and hope for stalemate.

That to me is Martinez defenders. There's no logic in it anymore. The barrel has well and truly been scraped. We are a crap team under him. Its as simple as that.

So only the side of the opinion fence YOU sit is correct. No one else can have an opinion which differs to you and those that share your view.

Tad immature.

I mean this relatively seriously, I can't see where our next win is coming from. I just hope we scrape over 40 points. Thank God the geordies are so inept

What's so bad about yesterday was that Man U were one of the worst teams ive seen us play all season. They created one chance and that wouldn't have happened had Coleman done his job. We played bad against Arsenal but at least Arsenal were good and played us off the park. What's worrying is that we are so bad against average teams also.

Was a 0-0 at worst. Neither side conjured up much. Their goal was a mistake, granted, but jags was superb as was Stones. Baines' distribution at times looked like it was back on the money.
There is no doubt we are lacking confidence. We need wins in these next three games (obviously).

Great to see Deu back too.

Gaz Baz was a big miss, reinforcing the view by many that we desperately need reinforcements at CM.

It certainly wasn't a terrible performance, a typical Utd away performance if anything and one we have become accustomed to for the last 20-odd years.

No it wasn't a 0-0 at worse, it was a 1-0 defeat. The performance was dross after the first 30 minutes, hitting long balls to lennon.

You could see lukaku screaming at his team mates to get up field and close the play down, but they were 30 yards further back marking soace. Utd were terrible and somehow we were worse, again showing no urgency, no pressure to close the ball.

It was an absolute disgrace, again. A heartless spineless performance from.a spineless manager

I thought this was already an echo chamber enough

How did this forum end up like this with abuse of people taking differing views?

Unreal.

From the man that gave you

Laughing at the plotters here.

He's not going anywhere lads. Your point of view is worthless. You may as well open up the toilet seat and shout down the bog. no one's interested in what you say outside this forum...or even inside it.

Not at all. If I hear a good reason, that ive maybe missed, that explains why keeping Martinez on board would be a good thing id weigh it up and probably take it on board. Do you have one?

Seriously does anyone feel we will win the cup? Based on our current form do we think we can beat United or west ham in a high pressure game?

I really can't see it. Sacking him improves our chances of a cup win. You just know we will make a defensive balls up at some point and get punished.

Yes, I think we might do. Reason being I expect the players to put in a massive shift in the Semi, just as they did in the last round. We looked far more switched on against Chelsea than we have in either of the last 2 games.

We are going through the motions in the league.

Similar thing happened at Wigan the year they won it. They got utterly humiliated at home a few times either side of thrashing us at Goodison and completely controlling the Semi final. Thing is, at a club the size of Everton the manager can not just pick and choose, or allow the players to dictate the games they are fired up for. Our league form and position is disgraceful.

*I have bolded this bit as this was my main concern when Roberto began to put in place a more welcoming approach to behind the scenes at Everton. Moyes was the total opposite and demanded strict professionalism (possibly taking a leaf out of Sir Alex's methods). I believe a balance of the 2 is what is ultimately required to be really successful in this day and age.

Please do not avoid the swear filter.
Poor performance today, Arsenal, we just did not show up. Last two seasons, it's just hasn't changed. Blah, blah, feckin' blah.

We all get it. Question is, what are you going to do about it? What's the poll here and Toffeweb, 70% Out. Seriously, you want him out, get up off feckin' asses and do something about it, if you care so much. Thought not. Not going to happen.

Take a pot shot at Davek all you want, all he's doing is telling you the truth. Our club has slid beneath your expectations for over twenty years. There's a reason Martinez still has a job and it has nothing to do with you. It has everything to do with the board, so save me your outrage and this includes the Mod's, Forum owners etc...with their sage wisdom, we've all stood by and watched this club fall of the precipice. Gnash your teeth all you want, Bottom line is, we've got the club we deserve. Unpalatable but true. You don't think Martinez is up for the job? Who hired him?
Kenwright...Go ahead, blame the cup manager, the Aunt Sally, the Popinjey. Keep telling yourself it has nothing to do with board.

Here's a question for you, you wan't to be a winning club? We're in the semi finals, get behind the team. It's not just the manager, players, it is the supporters too, I'm anti Martinez but I think it's a feckin' disgrace both major sites are having a poll. No manager in our history, period, has had to endure that on the verge of semi final in the FA Cup. Get a grip.

If we go out, sure you get the win button. Wear it with pride, personally there's a lot of Evertonian's out there who have never seen us win FA all. Wind ya neck in until the summer. We lost at home to Arsenal and away to United and we're 12th in the league. Let's all jump off Seaforth rocks cause that's never happened before.

Hold your fire, like it or not, this could be a season you reminisce with your kids about. And if Kenwright's gamble fails, you can tell your kids I told you so.

Well he still might with the Cup...but yeah. Much easier digesting plucky little Ebepton...I use the exact same strategy at work...under promise and over deliver. It is a proven strategy I've used for 20+ years.

...I hear the world of the male go-go dancer is a VERY combative place to earn a living. 20 plus years is quite an achievement mate. Well done cheesey, much respect, keep shakin' that booty...;)

We'll get that win somewhere, somehow mate (can't believe I'm saying that). But you're right to be concerned. If not for this season, then definitely next season. We won't go this far into next season with only 2 away defeats next time round. Something has to change, and as with all situations like this, the Manager bears the brunt of it.

Your question really I presume is more, do I have one which you'd agree with.
I guess I don't seeing as my views have been posted on a variety of things regarding the manager.

And?
