Lower GSE slating of Ross right here...moan on LGSEers.
Not once in my entire life have I ever said a single bad word about any Everton player at a match.
GT5 for Life.
Lower GSE slating of Ross right here...moan on LGSEers.
The under achievement didn't just set in with Martinez or even Moyes for that matter. It's been endemic at the the club for decades.
We can all turn round and say well, Spurs, Southampton, United and the lot over the park wouldn't put up with this.. Well ask yourself why?
It's the board who won't accept it, so they take a dim view of failure as well as the supporters. I'll put this to you, irrespective of your views on our current manager or former one, the board don't believe they have been unsuccessful. It's something we argue about and doesn't register to them.
I find it absurd all the posts on Martinez and no-one is mentioning the complicity of the board. Sure, it's been done to death and no-one wants to talk about it. Doesn't mean it's gone away or isn't a factor. It's as important as ever. Collective amnesia.
If you want to be successful again, look at the men hiring and firing and put them under pressure.
Go to bed mate. Fluffity fluff is clearly contagious...Anyway, ive had a think.
Rom will sign for Arsenal, we will receive Ospina and 40m English Pounds.
You heard it here first.
Go to bed mate. Fluffity fluff is clearly contagious...
You geniusGoing to bed now, but dont forget who told you all Howard would be gone this year.
The Board has backed Martinez tho, fully,
I know were you're going with this line of reasoning and you've repeated it a few times. I'm not disagreeing, I'd point out though that Howard Kendall was himself initially polarizing.
What turns a lot of supporters around is success, Kendall delivered ultimately.
I will say this though, I read a lot of posts about Everton on various sites. There's a lot of wise hindsight going on recently. Besides the eternal optimists amongst us, I can't readily recall too many suggesting we'd finish top 4 this season. Top 6 yes, but not higher than that. I also seem to remember last season the argument, that you only finish in around were your wage bill allows. So again, between 10th and 5th or thereabouts. I'm not defending Martinez underachievement in the league, just saying there's a lot people jumping on the bandwagon stating we should be top 4. Who knew how the the season would pan out back in August?
id imagine it would be one of the lowest in the league
A stepping stone to a club in the CL, which obviously brings a wage packet to matchRom has always made it clearer than any player I can remember except maybe Mirallas that we were a stepping stone. This is nothing to do with our current league form, as soon as a richer club wanted him then he'd want to go.
I thought this would take a couple more years but it hasn't by the sound of it.
I'd be looking at a forward like Sturridge. Although obviously not him. But someone who is always looking for pockets of space and clever movement along the line. We may get someone who fits how our midfielders are looking to play and have spare cash.
Sorry to see a figurehead go if he does but we've improved from every big sale in recent years.
Can't blame him for leaving. He's excellent, has played his heart out and scored some boss goals.
Failings that are completely out of his hands have undermined his good work. You can either blame the man in charge of the team for that, or a 24-month period of FREAK ACCIDENTS. I know where my money would lay.
