Could be a r/s putting in an objection, saying us coming into a bit of cash, could upset the balance on Merseyside, and we can't be having that, just a thought like.
Yeah I'm on conspiracy mode today and there was jealousy bordering on mania from some of them. I can easily imagine someone trying to find a loophole linked to previous Arsenal situation. Doubt it though
I like to presume the worst so never disappointed. Optimistic on the outside and torn apart with worry on the inside gets me through.

Actually quite a lot has changed even though the formal process is not yet complete.

(i) club briefing to the press on transfer budgets for the summer
(ii) New developments at Finch Farm, something that Martinez has wanted for 2 years but not possible under the previous regime, now approved.
(iii) the announcement on season ticket pricing - further evidence of a fundamental shift in the club's thinking and approach to fan's issues.

All this before the formal process is complete.

(i) Substantially what happened in that respect? Martinez and Jagielka to my knowledge told reporters that it would be a move to a new level in terms of being able to match player ambitions. It's very vague (and, btw, I wouldn't expect anything more bold or specific from either).
(ii) Again, substantially, what do you have to hold onto there? A 'hope' to get a plan from two years ago brought to fruition, which may or may not be completed.
(iii) Season ticket news: I'm not following you here. Are you suggesting the taking up of 49.9% of shares by Moshiri is the driving force behind that rather than a) a continuation of the club's attempt to be inventive over pricing, or b ) the massive influx of tv cash enabling a price drop for a certain demographic?

Anyway, I'm bit reluctant to post anymore on the subject for now. It appears that legitimate questions are being seized on and used merely to accuse others of 'WUMMING', which sort of closes down debate (it's intention, no doubt).

And begs a question to those who have polled 'no' or 'not sure' - what would it take for you to change your vote to 'Yes' ?

Forgive me Dave, but as one who consistently champions the manager as being on the right road and leading us to the promised land... Why do you appear so reticent towards Mr.Moshiri ?
I am sure in my own mind that the decision to reduce ST prices was suggested by the Box Office management in conjunction with the Marketing Dept, probably RE sat on the fence, BK saw it - quite rightly - as Everton again being first to do something, dare I suggest, radical... and Mr.Moshiri has fully endorsed and supported it.

I'm not accusing you of winding up, I am of the opinion when you post something it's a genuinely held belief.

However on this occasion the idea that nothing has changed or Moshiri is not already influencing matters in L4 is palpably wrong.

Yeah mate, people pointing out the factually incorrect content of your posts and your peevishness are all in cahoots and are intentionally silencing your voice of reason lol

(i) we have never come out and said this before. RM said we can now offer what it was that lured players away ie money and lots of it
(ii) Building surveyors are already actively planning the upgrades RM spoke of.
(iii) Moshiri has already gone on record stating his dislike at fans being squeezed for every penny, be it for tickets or infrastructure

;)

Because he knows what the new owner will do to Bobby Failure

Moshiri to me seems like a proper football fan, his niece said it is his dream come true to own a Prem football club when he had that celebration dinner in Monaco this week.

He's made a lot of money and will continue to do so, but his passion seems to be football, he's living the dream now.

I have no doubts he's going to spunk some serious wedge on us, he's spent 8 years at Arsenal itching to spend, itching to get involved, he now can, and what he builds is his.

There's no news on his approval from the Premier League yet, as mentioned by several the handbook suggests it can be a 10 day process so no-one should be unduly alarmed. Nothing to suggest problems just the bureaucracy to be completed.
Will he come out with his plans for the club once it's been approved you think?
