Possibly because the arrival of Moshiri has for the first time meant Martinez will have to perform, the safety net of Kenwright has efectively been removed from him, if he doesn't perform now then what excuses can be given?, money seems like it will be there, the club will start to sort its sponsorship and commercial deals out to a good standard, the stadium issue will finally start moving in a clear direction, IF the manager can't move forward with that then he will be on the curb, and for someone like dave who thinks the sun shines out his bum then that is a scary thought, so be negative to the new owner, try to deflect thigns away from the golden boy and he will have lined up his next line of defence should be stagnate on the field.

In a nutshell you also have why Dave has championed selling Stones, stated that we will almost certainly lose Lukaku in the past - it's all past of a way to deflect from the manager - 'how could he be expected to progress us when we sold the core of his team' etc etc etc

Dave is the extreme end of the pro Martinez brigade, same way we have people who have been anti martinez from the get go and neither will change their view no matter what happnes, and both are ultimately wrogn and have a thinking that if the Owner thought the same would ultimately be disastrous for the club
Completely and utterly wrong on a number of levels.

You seem to think every aspect of this club's existence is viewed by me through the prism of Roberto Martinez's best interests. It's ludicrous and crashes on the rocks of my historical posting record here: I've critiqued Martinez on his major flaws for the past two seasons - an apologist I certainly am not.

Also, if you think last week's announcement did anything other than take away some of the doubts concerning Martinez's future here then you haven't read this right. Kenwright is being left in situ to determine what is or what is not in the best interests of the club, certainly for the foreseeable few seasons. That strengthens Martinez's hand and it's why he was arguing for that scenario in the weeks leading up to last Saturday's announcement.

My argument has always been to let RM see his contract out and then determine whether that's enough to hand him a new one, so I'm more than happy with a new major shareholder arriving who allows that to roll out. In short: there's no urgency in my posting about the relative no show of Moshiri atm. I'd welcome the completion of the deal and any statement to follow. I'm merely impatient to hear what the full plan is.

....interested in your view about RM being allowed to see his contract out before deciding if it should be renewed. Is that what you think should happen with all managers or just RM?

When the poll was put up, there were no details avaialble, so fence sitting was acceptable - how can you say it's a great deal if you know nothing about it?
Similarly, no wasn't an option.
So I started with a fence post up my arse, but since seeing some vague details and a plan, I came down off the fence in the yes camp.
That's my ramblings anyway

One fully understands and one also appreciates that, however with the option to change ones vote being made available, one would have thought by now that some of those with splinters up their rear ends may now wish to reconsider :)

So you criticised supporters for 'demanding three points', but you're ok to demand a full plan from the owner as a supporter?

;)

My arse is now unencumbered and is free for talking through.
Could you really imagine the carnage of 200 of our brethren removing their butt plugs and having the freedom to chat wham?
Bloody phone

Daves not a stupid poster, he is well aware of what he is doing and plays the long game in taking an opinion that ultimately serves his long term goal/argument

Nailed it in the first sentence.
