New Stadium or Redeveloped Goodison?

Any so long its got a bigger roof. So rain does'nt get us all when the wind blows. Wouldnt mind redevelopement

My preference would be closer to the city centre or the docks mate, whether we like it or not we are competing in a city with a commercial Giant in The Norwegians. In the fight for the hearts, minds of football fans and a unique commercial selling point I would have us right in the heart of the City.

Whether an appropriate site is available or not is a different story.

If it's going to be a new stadium- The Friends Arena Stockholm looks amazing. Anyone been? This, with Archibald Leitch "criss-cross" balcony steelwork. I'm spending his money already!

I think the problem with Everton, from a commercial aspect of things (well I'm looking at a foreign market here) is our proximity to Liverpool, this is only amplified by that new stand they are building, you can see it for miles. If you're a tourist and you're coming to enjoy the city for other purposes, and don't know if you like Liverpool or Everton, so will just decide when you get there.

You walk into liverpool one, and there, as you come up the escalator, is a huge two floored megastore for Liverpool, two blocks further down, is the Everton shop. It's dwarfed. You go to visit the stadiums, you see a huge stand, and anfield so close (I realise it's only a very minor issue, but it's an issue nonetheless, you go that far, you don't go to visit Everton you go to visit Liverpool. Get a stadium which has excellent accessibility, within walking distance of the City Centre near the docks, and everyone will visit. Everyone. We've got a big project at the ready in the hands of our new Majority Shareholder, and if he can strike a deal with the City, we could get something very, very special.

Concerts on the dock, restaurants, hotels, the lot. It Could be HUGE.

New stadium, modern, fit for the future.

Downside with the park site is the lack of pre-match hang-outs building up atmosphere; a part of match days.

Personally, and this is just my opinion, I'd want a new stadium but with all of the characteristics of The Old Lady, the characteristics why we love her so much. Close to the pitch, box style, intimidating, with Dixie Dean and the Holy Trinity statue at the forefront of the stadium standing tall and proud. Give me a blue version, an Everton version, a new Goodison Park version of Borussia Dortmunds stadium and I'd windmill up and down County Road, and yes ... there would be a link.

Great Post - The Dortmund Stadium holds just over 80,000 - Realistically I think Everton would look at a 50,000 - 60,000 capacity. It would be brilliant if there was enough money to build a stadium with a retractable roof - this could be used as a pop concert venue in the close season for some of the world's top acts - and of course generate more funds for the club!

Well, it looks like the Planets are aligning.

This could be absolutely perfect timing. If the FA decide to bid for the 2030 World Cup, Everton could be in the box seat to secure additional funding/assistance from the FA in order to be a World Cup ground. I know there's a plethora of fully capable grounds around Blighty, but we could have the best stadium in the North West for such an event.

If this was taken into account, you could almost guarantee LCC would come to the party & the ground would be built with adequate public transport.

I know it's pie in the sky at the moment but...dream big Everton!

That is why the King's Dock would have been great for us a decade ago.

I've only read the first 5 pages of this thread but the number of people who are claiming that Goodison can't be re-developed because it is land locked is mind numbing. I suggest reading the documentation that has been available for the best part of the decade before regurgitating these lies.
