Computer games.

Wasteland 2 or Divinity: Original Sin if you want an RPG fix.

If you haven't played The Witcher then get all over that first, though.
i actually have wasteland 2 downloaded, robbed it off my mates account. I may give it a go then mate cheers :)

The witcher looks decent as well, but the combat system is what is putting me off it, not sure if i would like it. That's the sole reason i never liked Dragon age games, just couldn't be arsed with the combat system.

So why is it you like Fallout? I mean is it VATs or the fact that it's first person?

open world, things to find, no linear path to take, leveling up and new stuff to unlock.

Pretty much sums it up haha i personally love fallout 3/4/NV anyway but generally they are the type of games i go for, not a level based system or any push to do things.

I think The Witcher is great for exploration. Combat isn't difficult when you get the hang of it, but you can always turn the difficulty down then it's pretty easy (protip: unlock the Quen alternate mode (the shield) and you're golden).

cheers mate, i will look into getting that. As long as the combat isnt 100 different commands as dragon age seems to be then i will enjoy it.

No it's really simplified compared to that. Action-y, you have a few powers you can switch to but generally only need a few at a time; do most of the damage with swords. Good dodge-and-roll kind of system. The lack of a block makes it fast-paced.

Sounds spot on then tbh, i'll look into getting it this week then. Im wavering on starting fallout again and just choosing perks i wouldnt normally pick but i cant imagine my interest will keep when i know of all the grinding and junk to be collected lol It is a shame because if the mods were on the way i may have kept an interest a bit longer.

Divinity original sin is on my list, might get this as my next game. Can this be played alone and still be enjoyable? Ive seen reviews where it very good with coop

Haven't played co-op once and I love it. Works as a solo game completely.

Diablo 3 is a good reference point. I really enjoyed that solo but this is both a better game and a better solo game.

Loved diablo 3 and loved the coop, but can't see my husband playing divinity due to it being turn based.:(

I love turn based to be fair. It's Xcom style in Divinity. Works really well and is one of the reasons the solo play is so good; gives you the time to use every party member and try and combine them intelligently.
