Joel Robles

This is true.

Also note how much quicker he reacts to situations, he's done it five times in the last few matches where the mistakes like jags vs chelsea just dont happen with him in.

He runs out, the striker flaps it because joel is massive, and he hits the ball into row z.

Makes a difference.
His all round distribution is really good.
Very solid with his feet, and always looking for the long throw.

And his song is boss.

one goal conceded in the last four, you can question the oppostion we have faced all you want, but looking at that as against the rest of this error strewn season,as a certain rotund Spanish waiter would say is a "fact".

The argument for Robles being our first choice keeper next season (above a new acquisition) is certainly getting stronger by the game.

People may question the opposition he's faced, but only two goals conceded in five games with three clean sheets are telling statistics.

And for me personally, the strongest and most blatant point is that the defence look more assured with him in goal; he's instilling confidence.

He's tall, commanding, with good reflexes and able to distribute the ball well. If he can keep this up then he'll be making Martinez's choice easier.

And to think his first few performances for Everton, especially Arsenal away in the FA Cup losing 4-1, were causing huge levels of concern over him.

Other than the spot kick and the low save from the cross he didn't have all that much to do,I agree his greater mobility is a plus, but the attempted punch were he was beaten to the ball late on shows it's early days still.

What, like Stoke who put 4 past us at Goodison and Bournmouth who scored 3 last time we played them. If he only stops the gash teams scoring against us that's an improvement.

Did well sweeping up for jags as well when he had to come running out to clear up when jags got caught out, was eventually given as offside but showed again how switched on Joel was
