We've now got a back up striker. Deulofeu and Barkley have stepped up on the playmaker front - though I agree in certain situations we coudl do with a 'Pienaar-lite' to break down teams we actually have a new way of playing in the fact RM has switched to a wide forward - e.g. Kone - and i'm guessing Niasse may end up filling that role in certain games as well. And even so, we still create tons of chances (Palace, Swansea away, Swansea at home and Norwich and WBA home all spring to mind as games we could easily have won with a bit more guile/luck from the players).
He also never said that Barry would definitely get rotated. He's been one of our best players this season and him being in the team hasn't been the problem.
No, Poch is a very good manager obviously.
Nobody is saying it's a handicap. We're saying it's an understandable reason.
Spurs are on a great run of form and have taken advantage of slip ups by the likes of Chelsea and Utd who would typically be in that position.
Oh no I don't think he was saying that about the Bournemouth game.
But I said at the time that it was the same weekend exactly that the year before we had capitulated at Spurs and our season spiralled out of control.
Now, this year, we've shown more fight but there was certainly a factor of the wind being knocked out of the players' sails a bit.
I also think McCarthy was a huge miss. As somebody else has said, and I have said a lot since then, McCarthy doesn't get injured and I think we win that Bournemouth game with ease.
As for WBA, we far from 'conspired' to lose the game. We gave away a sloppy goal but overall it was a good performance and a game any reasonable neutral or football fan would agree that we deserved to win. Unfortunately it wasn't to be.
But different when it's a goal that clearly shouldn't have counted mate.
No issues with the Bournemouth one as it was fair enough really, though on a different day with a different ref some don't add on time for celebrating (as Atkinson didn't at Arsenal the other day even though they celebrated for over 2 minutes in stoppage time...)
But still, it was rank bad defending for that third Bournemouth goal.
At Chelsea, we played a perfect offside trap and had the linesman and referee both done their job it would have been three points. As I've said before, had that happened 20 minutes before then at least we have time to recover. But no, literally the last kick of the game.
You can't blame Martinez or the players for that yet some people still manage to...

What has been the problem then? Every time something is raised the answer always turns into 'actually everything is fine you're wrong'. Please explain the last 18 months without using the words 'unlucky, if, referees, inexperience, other teams have money, Moyes'. Please also remember to do it in the context of a team that aspires to be the best and is currently one of the biggest sides in the English game, not some developmental school for other teams talent.

That's all down to sheer frustration.
Some people are letting their emotions get the better of them and lashing out at other posters instead of trading in calm overview of where we are as a football club. They run away from that approach and prefer personal attack because the facts are acting like a giant rock upon which their rants and fume crash and fall.
The salient facts:
RM is our manager
RM will remain our manager
The team are 100% behind him
The team are playing the best attacking football for generations
The squad is getting stronger and stronger
We are not in any danger whatsoever and can climb into the top half at any point
We've put a very good cup run together already and can do the same in the other domestic cup we're in
Most Evertonians are happy to see RM remain they just want defensive solidity to go with it
The board have absolutely no intentions of changing manager
There's no way around the above. It just IS that way. The sooner the restless accept it and move on, rather than causing periodic (and laughable) crises out of every draw or defeat, then the better it'll be for them.

I've said numerous times i'm not bothered about last season - and if people insist on taking last season into account they should also balance that our with the first season.
Focusing on this season, no everything is not fine but it's in no way as bad as people who are dead set on wanting Martinez out claim it to be.
We've got some very good players overall and we've played much better in a lot of games this season. For a combination of reasons we haven't been able to turn all of those performances into wins which is very frustrating.
Yes, we aspire to be the best that we can and we're playing the best standard of football we have in years. Because of that i'm more than willing to give RM more time to get it right, as I believe we're almost there - though there is definitely some changes and tweaks that could still be made the manager isn't getting sacked so he needs the room and breathing space to get it right.
It's also not down to just him, but the players as well, who if they are as good as everybody says they are need to step up and start putting away the chances they create and doing simple things, like not losing their players at set-pieces, better - especially the experienced ones.
The home form is a worry as it seems that teams are much more comfortable facing us at Goodison than away from home. We seem to panic much more at Goodison whereas away we feel less pressure and normally get the results.
We aren't a development school either, as now we no longer need to sell. The TV money has made sure of that for every premier league club and if a big player is to leave we will get more than a fair fee for them - hell we even get big money for fringe players.
But it did count.
And to say we both conceded and scored a goal in stoppage time at Chelsea as well as Bournemouth is nowt more than a simple statement of fact.
Imagine Kev will play on Saturday.
