Roberto Martinez discussion

Cold, hard facts show that during last two years Martinez hasn't been performing and we've been getting worse.

That squad is massively underperforming under his stewardship and he's had enough time.

Couple with the fact we haven't beaten much this season

Southampton - 1 win in 1st 6 games
Chelsea - Poor 1st half of season
Stoke - No win or goal in previous 4
Villa, Sunderland, Newcastle - All bottom 3
WBA - Probably the closest to any form with 2 wins in 6.

The above just proves that we are just not as good as people are trying to make out. This NEW style that's going to see us progress just isn't there. I am struggling to see what others are seeing.

35 shots when camped in the WBA half for 75 minutes and only 6 on target is pretty poor when you break it down.

We are a lower half team now with performances and results backing this up. If the system doesn't work now then it's never going to work as Bobby has proved he is not for turning. He will never relinquish his belief that this is the way football should be played. The same style put to bed by Holland in the last world cup when Spain used to play it.

People should look at our results over the last two seasons. I accept before that he had a good run, that probably adds to his problems. We had a team capable of challenging for top four and now we feel good if we get into the top half.
Last year we won 12 games, this season we have won 8, we are on target to win 12 again.
I personally don't think that's good enough for Everton.
To point to the last three wins and use them to justify the manager's position is wrong. Judge him over the period in which he has been responsible. Last year I accepted all the excuses, 2nd season hangover, victim of over achieving in his first season. He deserved a third year to prove himself, he has proven himself to be limited. He has the tools at his disposal to be top 6/7 and we are 11/12 and get happy to be top half.
It is simply not good enough. I don't care how you dress it up but in the last 64 league games we have failed to win 44 of them. We win less than one third of the games we play, that is mediocre, very mediocre.
I want better.

Just out of interest did the pair of you want Pereira rather than Martinez?
